I have stayed at all the moderates. I would rank them:
CSR -- I've stayed here twice and loved it both times. We were in the Cabanas section both times which was close to the pool and the food court. The pool is really cool. I love the pyramid water fall and the slide.
CBR -- I stayed here in 2001 before the renovations but I really liked it. I would pay extra for a preferred room since the resort is so spread out.
POFQ -- I also liked POFQ. It may be a better choice for your kids if they are not proficient in the water. The pool is great for little swimmers and the slide is very mild. It's a great beginner pool. It is also quite small and easy to get around.
POR -- Frankly, I did not like POR. I was stuck in a room in Alligator Bayou that was really far away from everything and there was no direct way to get to the main pool or the food court. The twisty turny paths made me crazy. If I would stay there again, I would definitely book in the Mansions section since the paths are straight!
Is it $450 for 7 days? Hmmmm ... I'm not sure if that would be worth it to me. That's $65 per day extra for (1) lusher grounds, (2) a table service restaurant (not at POFQ), (3) a pool slide, (4) a hot tub, (5) slightly bigger rooms, and (6) slightly nicer rooms. That's two CS meals. If you have the extra money, then it is a treat over the Value resorts
