Me and my girlfriend are planning our first big vacation (without one of the fams) this may and of course no discounts are out yet for this time. I am a huge fan of Disney everything, and she is obsessed with Tigger haha

What I am interested in is, what are the common discounts released for emailed discount codes, standard discount codes, Disney visa holders, Annual Pass holders, AAA discounts, etc… say generally around the May time frame?

I am a AAA member and I have signed up for a Disney visa… just curious as to what I MIGHT expect to see once discounts come out… if they do and what might be my best way to go.

What came out last year for these?

We are looking at staying in Pop Century… but if it’s cheap enough, maybe a moderate.

Tks!

I don't think there is much out right now, so we are just booking with our AAA discount and will switch if something better comes along. We have the Visa also, but there is absolutely nothing out for it. I seem to remember them having something last year, where you got a couple nights free or something, but I haven't seen anything yet this year. We went the first time by ourselves (with our daughter who was 4 at the time) and they had the big deal, pay for a 4 day package and they made it an 8 day for free deal, that was awesome. May have been a once in a lifetime thing though.

So anyway, I guess just keep your eyes open. I am relatively new to this whole thing myself, so I just keep scanning these boards. I figure if something comes out, I'll find out about it here first.

E-mail codes vary...I got one in Nov. for moderate resorts. It quoted nights for $105 and when I inquired about our summer dates, we were quoted $74, and $99 for preferred.

Regular codes are usually the best...you just have to wait and see what comes out for your dates, if anything...we stayed at AKL last May for $151 a night and would never have been able to afford a Deluxe if it hadn't been for the code. Again, it depends on when you go.

Disney Visa...haven't seen anything good offered since we got one about a year ago.

AAA...usually 10-20% off depending on the resort and season.

mousesavers.com is a great place to check out for up-to-date deals and history of codes.

Just remember...the more knowledgeable you are of WDW and the sites and guidebooks out there, the more you will save!

Call disney and talk to a male CM, flirt and be friendly. He got me a room at AKL savannah view for $135 a night. Discounts are out there you just have to be friendlly. THis is my first time to disney and am going in MAY! Good luck! Missiowa :cool1:
