We are trying to decide on 2 of these restaurants for our upcoming trip. Overall experience, convenience and food, how would you rank these best to worst. We have 3 girls, ages 8, 6, and 2 (although good food is first priority)
Thanks for your help!

Teppan Edo
Biergarten Dinner
Cape May Cafe Dinner (Epcot day)
Whispering Canyon Cafe (MK day)

If you want to play again, what about the following? How would you rank these best to worst.

Les Chefs (lunch) - hoping for Remy
Via Napoli - lunch
Yak and Yeti lunch
Kona Cafe - dinner
Rose and Crown - lunch or early dinner (are there indoor tables?)

Any comments are so appreciated.

with the first list. Some of these are really a matter of taste.

Biergarten
Teppan Edo (I don't usually like to go here because we have good, comparable places locally - but we're going anyway in less than two weeks)
Cape May
Whispering Canyon

I only have experience with two on your last set. Both Kona and Via Napoli are very good.

We haven't eaten at Cape May for dinner so I can only rank the other 3 ...

Biergarten
Teppen Edo
Whispering Canyon

We love the variety of Biergarten, especially the potato soup and the sauerbraten & spaetzel. And the entertainment is really fun!

WCC is one of the two restaurants we have vowed to never return to after just an awful meal of the skillet several years ago. We found it to be fatty and greasy with not much other flavor.

For the 2nd group, we are trying Via Napoli on our upcoming trip.

For me, Y&Y & Kona are a virtual tie. I have loved past lunches at Y&Y and dinners (especially the pork chop) at Kona. So that would put Chefs 3rd for me. That one has been hit & miss. Couple of good meals and a couple of so so ones. We definitely prefer lunch.

Thanks for your replies. I actually just decided to add Rose and Crown to the list as well so I edited the original post. This is hard when there are so many good choices.

:thumbsup2 You've got good lists going here. I won't add any ideas just stick to what you have. My opinion is coming from NOT a fine dining perspective here, but a good solid food experience plus atmosphere plus children perspective:

WCC -- Kids will love it. Interaction with CMs. Food is more than adequate. Have read poor reviews but we have never had a bad meal yet. It is loud and rowdy and fun for kids.

Biergarten -- Entertaining. Buffet. Not really my kind of food, and not much kid food. But young kids don't eat much anyway. We aren't beer drinkers, but that seems to definitely be the draw for patrons.

CMC -- Buffet... so adequate, not great. But lots and lots of food choices to make more than a meal, kids "buffet", and desserts and desserts... Good choice with kids if you are staying at Epcot resorts, or if you do SAB pool all day at BC/YC, then go to dinner right on property.

Teppan Edo -- I dunno. Not a fave for us when at WDW. Rather do this food at home.

Next list:

Kona Cafe - dinner YUM, then stroll Poly grounds and watch MK fireworks. Best with kids because of the Poly location.

Rose and Crown - lunch or early dinner (are there indoor tables? yes) NICE VIEW, great stop and relax point in big, big Epcot. We really like the food & atmosphere here. Equal to Yak for kid-mosphere.

Yak and Yeti lunch -- Good food. If you in AK that day, best food choice by far. But wouldn't go out of my way for it esp. with kids.

Via Napoli lunch -- Just ok to us. Italian is such a personal taste preference of where you are "from". Maybe good for lunch to split a pizza with the kids.

Chefs -- DH and I enjoy it. But the 3 course special meal is waaaaaay toooo long for kids to sit at the table...even with Remy. Last visit was 2.5 hrs!

Just my opinions here. Hope this helps. ;)

I haven't eaten at all of these but I'll tell you this.... we just ate at Biergarten last week and it was wonderful. The food was great, they had kid offerings, and the entertainment was especially loved by my 4.5 and 1.5 year olds! It is a great show and at the end you can get them up there to dance.

Rose and Crown dinner is very yummy as well.... whispering canyon would be low on my list. Never ate at Teppan Edo, but I feel you can get this at home.

Chefs is great, but for me, I wouldn't want to deal with my kids there... I think they wouldn't last through it.

We love Kona breakfast, never had dinner there...

3Teppan Edo
2Biergarten Dinner
1Cape May Cafe Dinner (Epcot day)
4Whispering Canyon Cafe (MK day)

If you want to play again, what about the following? How would you rank these best to worst.

3Les Chefs (lunch) - hoping for Remy
1Via Napoli - lunch
2Yak and Yeti lunch
5Kona Cafe - dinner
4Rose and Crown - lunch or early dinner (are there indoor tables?)

I'm so glad I asked this question, because it sounds like it might be Biergarten for us. I know my kids will like to get up and move. And is sounds like WCC is a love it or not type of place. I know the antics would not be DH's cup of tea.

Any more thoughts on the second list? I didn't think about Les Chefs being such a long meal, although it makes sense.

I am definitely taking your opinions seriously!

Thanks so much.

Thanks for your replies. I actually just decided to add Rose and Crown to the list as well so I edited the original post. This is hard when there are so many good choices.

Rose & Crown would move to the top of my 2nd list! We just love it there. Yes, they do have inside tables. If you like that kind of food, I would definitely vote for this one!

Y&Y is a very good choice for lunch as well but both times we ate there we had a wait a bit for a table. The 2nd time, longer than a bit! So with hungry kids, that might be a challenge. But the food is good, chinese/asian type food. The potstickers and fried green beans are very good. We all really like it and prefer lunch.

Teppan Edo -I think the kids would enjoy the food being cooked at the table but the meal can get quite long. (would recommend Nine Dragons if you want chinese flared food)

Biergarten Dinner-fun show, food is so so. (Would go to Chef's de France or San Angel instead)

Cape May Cafe Dinner (Epcot day)-I was very disappointed in this meal. I would not recommend it (IMO) (Would go to Chef's de France or San Angel instead) IF you want to eat at the Beach Club, go to Captains Grille instead.

Whispering Canyon Cafe (MK day)-Again I was very disappointed in this meal. I would not recommend it (IMO). I would recommend Ohana. The kids will be entertained with games and the food is family style, all you can eat.

If you want to play again, what about the following? How would you rank these best to worst.

Les Chefs (lunch) - hoping for Remy-I love chef's
Yak and Yeti lunch- love yak and Yeti
Via Napoli - lunch- Have not eaten hear yet
Kona Cafe - dinner-Over rated and loud. The wait staff is less than attentive.
Rose and Crown - lunch or early dinner (are there indoor tables?)-they have indoor table. Have not eaten here.

i've only eaten at one of your restaurants, but Rose and Crown is my favorite place to eat at disney, we normally have a meal on arrival day since we like the Epcot resorts. it's a kid-friendly, but not kid dominant, place that anyone can enjoy, and everybody can find something to eat (in my experience). I think it's nicer than some of the other WS restaurants because it isn't so busy that food quality suffers, and it's very nice to sit outside on the patio (yes, there are indoor tables too) and catch Illuminations over dessert.

4Teppan Edo-I personally am not too thrilled about the food here, I prefer the other side of the restaurant Tokyo Dining.

1Biergarten Dinner-Delicious! Only thing I do not like is sitting next to strangers

3Cape May Cafe Dinner (Epcot day)- Havent eaten here yet

2Whispering Canyon Cafe (MK day)-Love this place too it is so good. I love the interaction and antics of the CMs

If you want to play again, what about the following? How would you rank these best to worst.

4Les Chefs (lunch) - hoping for Remy-Eating here this next coming trip

3Via Napoli - lunch-Eating here the next coming trip

Gross! Yak and Yeti lunch-My husband nor myself liked this place at all....the food made us sick. I know many others love it but I could not stand it and will never go back.

1Kona Cafe - dinner- This place is amazing. I think it would be rather boring for the kiddos though because not much interaction at all

2Rose and Crown - lunch or early dinner (are there indoor tables?)-Really good food, fun to sit on patio. Yes there is indoor seating. Love the accents.
