Compare YC and BWI please. . .

Can you tell me the advantages, disadvantages to these resorts. We have two very active kids who are daredevils and love to swim and slide (DS 2 1/2 and DD 4 1/2). We are spending the first half of our stay at the Poly and have reserved a room at the YC for the second half of our stay thinking the kids will love the YC/BC pool. As of late, I've seen so many good posts on BWI, I was just hoping to get some more insight on this while I can still change plans. Thanks.

The BC/YC is a Cape Cod theme. They are sister hotels so they share the main pool called Storm-Along-Bay. SAB is awesome! It does get crowded. SAB has as sandy bottom, sand bars, great huge slide (I question that they may have it height restricted). Your child must ride alone and be able to swim once they land in the pool. Lifeguards are constantly telling parents they cannot "catch" them and help them off the slide.

With the ages of your kids it may be a challenge to sit-back an watch them swim alone in SAB. There is a whirlpool, lazy river flowing and parts are pretty deep. The do have life vests but they can't be used on the slide.

There is a kids pool w/ a small slide. Both hotels have a quiet pool. Restaurants are very good but they are in walking distance from the BWI.

The YC to me is much more formal than the BC.

BWI is the Atlantic City Boardwalk theme. Lots to do at the boardwalk at this hotel. They have a themed pool, I do not think it is as large as SAB.

I would pick BW w/ young children.

With the ages of your children, I would stick with the pool at the Y&B over the BWI. Storm-a-long Bay has a kiddie area with a beach like setting. They can dig in the sand & swim in the Kiddie area. The pool there is like a mini water-park. The pool at the BWI is an amusement park themed pool. They have a slide that looks like a roller coaster & I do not think your children will be big enough to go down it. They do have a small kiddie are with some squirting elephants... but nothing like over at the Y&B pool.
