Compare US CA with US Orlando

My DH and I went to US Hollywood 2 years ago and are taking DD10 and DS7 to US Orlando this August. We are wondering how the similar rides at each park compare. Can anyone who has been to both give me some feedback on the following

Horror Makeup Show
Twister v. Backdraft
Shrek 4-D
Back to the Future
Jaws, Earthquake etc v. Backlot Tour in Hollywood

Jaws, Earthquake etc v. Backlot Tour in Hollywood

I'll hit on this.

In CA obviously, these two attractions are part of the overall Backlot Tour (which you know.)

At FL though, these two attractions are self standing and expanded a bit.

Earthquake begins with 3 short preshows about visual effects before you board a "subway car" that will take you to the Earthquake show scene. I'm not sure how the show scene compares to that of the one in CA as part of the tour, but I'd assume they are similar.

Jaws is a much more fleshed out experience in FL than is is on the tram tour in CA. You go around a lagoon in a boat led by a skipper as Jaws attacks you several times. I was only 8 when I did the backlot tour in CA back in 1988, but I remember the Jaws portion to be very short and underwhelming.

I was at US in California way back in 1988 and the only ride was the back lot tour, and it was awesome. I think there was a stunt show but don't remember much else. Just back from USF and it is way bigger with lots of rides. Yes, Jaws and Earthquake are seperate rides, but they don't have a back lot tour. The Horror Make-up show was great, can't really compare things but both parks are great fun, just a bit different.

Yeah, 1988 was the eyar I went too. I remember the Tour, and I remember Earthquake was coming soon.

I beleive the stunt show at the time was Miami Vice, but instead my family watched the Conan the Barbatian show!

Earthquake and Backdraft are the same concept but with different final rides. Jurassic Park is better in Hollywood. Shrek is the same and Back to the Future is the same.

Twister does not have the audience participation, movie re-enactment section. It has a preshow and then a realistic Tornado scene.

We were at Universal Hollywood last summer and we go to Universal Florida twice a year. Both are great fun. The Florida park is larger and has more to offer.
