compare mid-june and mid-july

thinking of going mid july instead of mid june. please compare or give info on crowds, weather, resorts discounts, park hours, etc.

Done both. Weather and crowd-wise, mid-June is your best bet. I find in July there seems to be more tour groups. I've booked late July/early August this year for our grandson's trip with us. Still hot, but early June didn't work for us. Next year, we'll do early June. (Making that AP work for us)

Weather is very similar -- hot, humnid, even at night, and usually some intermittent thunderstorms daily although you can get somewhat more rain in June than July. Crowds from mid to late June are also similar to mid-July-- very large although nowhere near as bad as Easter time, Christmas or July 4 week. Better rates for some resorts exist in July as the deluxes other than AKL and WL change from regular" season to "value" season usually about July 5 and discounts in the past seem to be have been more available for July than June. What you do get in July that you don't get in June is a large contingent of South American tour groups as mentioned above (much of July is mid-winter break time for those countries). Park hours are generally the same.

I cannot remember where I read it (a guidebook or website) but a woman who does regular trips to Disney World (over 20 so far) and receives mail from many other people who take trips, stated that the only people she had ever corresponded with who did not have a great time at Disney were the ones who went in July. Primary reasons (more crowded and more heat). However, she also said many people do go in July and have a great time. It is all in the planning and knowing what to expect, and in the attitude. I would still recommend June if you have a choice.
