Community Hall if staying at another resort

Are community halls open to anyone staying at any Disney resort or only the one where they're located? I think I have plenty of activities to keep us busy outside of the parks, but I keep adding to my list just in case. We'll be hanging out at AKL one day; can we visit the community hall there?

Kids' clubs and community halls are two different things. The community hall is at AK- Kidani Villaga and the kids' club is at AK- Jambo House. I haven't heard anything about community halls closing.

The CH at AKV isn't huge, so I don't think I'd consider it in your plans. We've used it when we're waiting for our room to be ready or waiting for DME. Honestly I'm not sure what the rules are, but the only time we've ever had to provide ID is when checking out DVDs. We've never done the pottery or crafts in CH so not sure about those. I'm sure you could hang out in there and play games with no issues. I don't remember if the CH there has ping-pong or billiards. That's usually why we check out CH.

One of the reasons we are staying at AKL in June is when I was doing my resort hopping day last trip one of the things they suggested to me then was to go back get my daughter and do some of the activities there. They won out over WL and the Contemporary was they really seemed to want my business.

Community Halls aren't places to drop off your kids, but to do activities with your kids, unless they are a lot older.

The actually didn't say drop her off, they suggested I go get her and do some of the activities there together. My daughter is an amateur chef and they suggested the Boma tour they were doing that day.

That's what I thought you meant. My comments were actually for anyone else reading the thread who might not understand the process.

An update from my trip, there was no problem doing the activities in the community hall even though we were staying at a different resort. CMs were very nice about it and we didn't see one other person in there. Maybe if they were crowded they would have limited it.

Community Hall at Kidani was the favorite part of the trip for my grandchildren. They loved the crafts.

No idea what a community hall is! But, my guess from reading the posts above is the little activity corners in the resorts. I know the Poly has a little space to make leis. Seems to be open to anyone as kids waiting for their dining reservations often stop there.
