Community Center

Foolish Me.

The one thing that we didn't consider when we purchased was if BCV had a Community Center.

We stayed at BW, prior to buying, and our kids loved it. I know that OKW also has one, and assumed (bad thing to do), that BCV would have one.

Will DVD be putting one in at BCV and/or, can BCV occupants utilize BWV's?

My understanding is that Community Hall at BWV is for DVC members staying at BWV only.

I don't recall them checking ID's, but it was not crowded while we were there either.


Hey, if BCV gets to hog SAB pool, it's only fair that BWV gets to hog the CH!!!

This is an excellant question.

First, yes, all DVC members staying on points may use the Community hall at BWV free of charge.

How do I know this??? Well when we originally bought in to DVC we bought 275 points at BWV with every intention of doing another 275 points at the soon to be open WLV. We told this to our guide, (Jim McCoy). We booked out first trip to BWV for March 2001 and told Jim that we would buy after he gave us a tour of WLV during our stay. Well, we went, he gave us all a tour, and during the tour my two boys asked him "Where is the Community Hall or arcade ?) Jim told them there was no commuinty hall, and the arcade is not free, but they can use the one at BWV if we are staying on points.

We still bought, despite no Community Hall.

DVCDAVE....thanks for the info. Just goes to show you, as we often see here....it all depends on who you ask.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as it's not overcrowded, it should be open to all DVC members staying on points. However, if it gets real crowded, I think they should use the pool hopping rules and keep it to BWV guests only.


Next year we will stay at VWL...so please don't take this opinion as "turf protection"!
