Communities questions

I am looking at different communities in the WDW area. Currently I'm considering:
Champions Gate, Formosa Gardens, Windsor Hills, Emerald Island

Any bad feedback on these communities? Any concerns?

Are the other communities a considerable difference in distance compared to Windsor Hills?

It might help if you specify distance to what? WDW is a very large area.

Good thought.. I guess I'm not sure. I just don't want to be 30 minutes from the parks.

Emerald Island, Formosa Gardens Estates, Windsor Hills, Rolling Hills, Windsor Palms, Oak Island,Indian Creek and Acadia Estates are all basically within 10 minutes of Disney's Animal Kingdom via Sherberth Rd. Here's a map with the communities labeled. Click on the blue markers to the left of #1 which is Windsor Hills.

I've stayed in quite many of these and had no problems. Every home is individually owned so it's hard to compare by just looking at the community. Some have manned gates like WH, WP and Em Is., some have coded gates: Acadia Est and FG Est., and some have no gates like RH, Oak Is, In. Creek. I've never felt in danger in any of them.

Windsor Hills & Champonsgate have good reputations. I know someone who's a snowbird & lives in Championsgate & he loves it!
