Communion Dresses???

Kind of off topic, but here goes.........for the party after dd's First Communion, I rented a jump house. We had SO many family members and friends, and you would not have believed how much fun it was for everyone. The teens were in there jumping, even the dads! DD's communion was at the 9am mass, and we had a brunch/lunch (quite simple, sliced ham, potato salad, fruit, green salad and rolls) People stayed all afternoon, and the kids just had a great time.

As for the dress.......I bought my dd's dress at a private school clothing supply store. I lucked out.....hers was on clearance from the year before (bought in about December/January) Of course, the one I liked was heavy silk, beaded with pearls, big sleeves, and so on, but dd hates dresses, so she picked the simplest one there......oh well, it was HER First Communion, not mine.

I have had great luck purchasing flower girl/communion dresses on e-bay. I actually bought them to be dress up dresses for my two DD, but 2 out of the 3 of them were brand new and one was used but you couldn't tell. Because I was buying them for dress up I didn't want to spend a lot, and even with shipping I didn't pay over $20 for any of them. They are all beautiful, one is purple but the other two are white and could easily be 1st Communion dresses. Both of my DD are going to be flower girls next September and I plan on buying their dresses on e-bay. Hope this helps!
