Commitment Thread - Week 3

Hey everyone how's it going? I am on target with water and plan struggling with the TM. The weatherman is calling for another wintry mix here tonight and tomorrow, uh, there will be NO loaded baked potato soup in this house this time! I learned my lesson! ;)

Tammy great choices at the restaurant! It is so hard to look at all the yummy foods we shouldn't eat and choose the healthy food we should. And what to drink is a real challenge! I stick to unsweet tea too!

chimera scream all you want! Being a mom just stinks sometimes! Juggling all your outside commitments makes it so hard. Hope everything works out for you! (your smile is pulling out its hair! ummm, you see it don't you?)

Have a great day everyone!

Ok...I know this isn't one of my official commitments, but I just walked away from cheesecake. I went to lunch at the office where I used to work...one of the drug reps and brought stuff in. There it was...cheesecake...with chocolate, caramel and strawberry sauce to put on top

I didn't have a crumb...didn't even stick my finger in the chocolate sauce. I think that calls for a dancing banana  Woohoo!

And three dancing bananas for keeping the Commitments (Did anyone see that movie?) yesterday

:cheer2: :cheer2: ok you all are still inspiring me just as I knew you would

bummer day here -- up off and on from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. with youngest DD vomiting -- no fever but she is home from school today. there has been lots of viruses around here this year and quite frankly i'm done with it :guilty:

i have 3/5 exercise days done this week - was maybe going to yoga tonight, we'll see now - but i'll still have fri-sat if i don't

i went to the Y to TM yesterday, that was challenging for me, i really don't like TM but my neighbor whom I walk with (casually) went out walking yesterday in the :cold: and slipped and broke her wrist! to the Y i went

doing ok on the food so far tues-wed; i got a crown done tues and it's sensitive enough that i'm really thinking about what i choose to eat. it took me twice as long to finish my salad for dinner last night then everyone else!

oh my gravy my dogs MUST stop barking! :headache:

Hi all,

My week is going well despite the fact that TOM is about to strike. I saw a new number today 148.4! WOO HOO! Keep em coming. That puts me at a little over 18 pounds to get back to the lowest point that I was last year. Loosing these same pounds is very frustrating. I hope I can make it work this time and learn to live on maintenance. I think that I should not drift away from DIS. That was one of my downfalls. The support here keeps us doing well and on track. I also must journal even at maintenance and keep exercising. Onward and downward.

Last night I was able to walk away from a Kashi Granola bar for snack so I felt good. Glad the scale rewarded me so I can associate that feeling the next time I want to snack when I shouldn't.

Everyone is doing fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Molli- Hope DD is better soon!! :wizard: Sending pixie dust your way!

where have we all gone????

i did well mon - wed --- thursday was a wash. seems like that's my hurdle, three days piece of cake, fourth day I crash

melC -- you really do inspire me -- you got honest with yourself like you said at the 1/2 and you have stuck to it and it's paying off for you. you're alread in the 140s and consistently losing. i having been thinking of you and using your success to motivate me to stay OP

I am still here! I am trying to re-think my plan knowing that I have to incorporate more exercise.

Melanie - way to go having the power to walk away from the snack

ohMom - What piece of cake? Today is a new day and we'll have to remember to count the days and give you encouragement on the 4th day!!

chimera you are awesome passing on cheesecake!

The weekend is almost upon us everyone remember your commitments and behave yourself! Have a good one!!

We must have all had a busy week, we did go MIA for a couple of days. Good to see we are coming back on for the weekend.

Mel-You are doing great, keep up the great work.

Ohmom-I hope DD is better now (sorry I haven't emailed much this week). Have you been able to get the dogs to stop barking. Is this the puppy stage?

Everyone else, you are doing great. I have been pretty good in my commitments this week. I am still trying to work hard on getting more veggies in. I am cooking a roast with veggies this week, so that will help.

Just off of the TM so I'm going to the shower now. I'll check back in later. I'm also sending PD for everyone that may be going to Super Bowl parties over the weekend. Remember to enjoy, but portion control is very important. We are a great group helping each other stay accountable, motivated and inspired. Let's have a great weekend!!

Ok, back at the computer now and happy to report that I have a 4.2 pounds loss this week for a total of 15.4 since I started 3 weeks ago.

I really need to stick to my commitments more than ever--today is a dinner out with local Disney fans, tomorrow a brunch birthday party and it is my TOM so that is just not a good combination! :sad2:

However, I have decided that I am going to continue to be aware of portion sizes (thanks for that reminder Tammy) and just enjoy myself while being cautious. I didn't workout all morning at the gym just to waste it on a passing moment of food enjoyment, that's what I gotta kep telling myself!

chimera-Awesome job passing up the cheesecake, that had to be hard! :teeth:

ohMom-hoping your DD is feeling better soon, it stinks to have all those cold/virus germs around! :sad2:

Melanie-that is an awesome number, WTG!!!!! :cheer2:

Tigger-it is hard finding more time to exercise, isn't it? Have a good weekend too! :)

Tammy-thanks again for those reminders, it helps to see someone else write about them, for me at least. I appreciate your ideas and thoughts and hope you can get those veggies that you want into your eating plan. :)

Have a terrific weekend everyone!

Well, I walked away from cheesecake, but the M&M's got me the next day :guilty: Point of interest...if you put SweetTarts in the same dish with M&Ms, the M&Ms get a bizarre cherry-chocolate flavor. Very puzzling!
Was doing real well with the Commitments til last night...I was starving about 10pm so had a 60cal fruit and gel cup. Not a huge cheat, but I still felt guilty for blowing the commitment. Oh well...tomorrow's another week.

Glad to see others doing so well.

Karen...you go...look at that weight just droppin' off!

OhMom...sorry 'bout the cooties and the barking dogs. We have both in our house, too. We always get the BEST viruses from daycare!

Melanie...congrats on the 140's

Tig...wanna come do the half-marathon training with us? It'll be fun...I promise
