I was wondering if any here had a cermony at Walt Disney World. We are considering having one next year. We thought of Disneyland, but don't see much a point since KY will not view it as legal.

Welcome to the Dis, Todd!:woohoo:

Here is a great thread where a Diser is planning a ceremony. A ceremony that is quickly approaching and I will be crashing.:bitelip:

I hope this is helpful!

Not yet!

As TinkerChelle mentioned, my partner and I are having our Big Fat Gay Disney Wedding at the end of September!

What questions do you have?

I am just curious as to what the process is. I read up on your thread and that seems to layout everything to pretty good detail.

We are thinking of having ours next year. Most likely the Escape package. Not sure how many people are willing to travel all the way to Orlando. I guess since we most likley will not be there until the cermony we won't get to taste the cakes (shame since Rob is such a cake freak). I would like to try to get a better idea of which of the sites would be more suitable. I had seen that some of them are pretty public.

Depending on how many people you've got. There's one very private location at Wilderness Lodge. (Sunrise Terrace, I think) that seats only 10 people. But not nearly as puclic as Seabreeze Point (Boardwalk), The Yacht Club Gazebo, or Sunset Point (Polynesian). You might also consider one of the Epcot locations. They're very public, but the ceremonies take place before the park opens, so privacy is afforded by the lack of other people there. It's also possible to use a banquet room for the ceremony and another for the reception. If they're close to each other, that makes for a good progression for the entire event. Or if there is a specific location that you'd like to use, ask them if it's possible. That's what we did. We're doing our ceremony in a non-public venue that's condsidered to be a theme park venue. No one had ever asked about it before, so they had to check, but ended up telling us we were able to use it. You never know until you ask.
