I've seen one of the newer "celebration " TV commercials with a boy having his birthday with a pirate themed dining type thing. pirate: Is this really available?
Is there a restaurant with this character theme?

I think there might be one in DisneyLand- I know there is a restaurant right by POC there.

Ahaa... that could be. It didnt even occur to me, and DL is were I've been the most. But WDW is where I plan to be next! :goodvibes
Either way, I'd sure love a pirate character dining experience....pirate:

Apparently it is just that, a commercial.

There are rumors of a pirate meal coming, but nothing official.

The restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland (Blue Bayou) does not do character meals, pirate or otherwise.

I found this info on the wdwinfo.com

You can pay for a Pirate Theme party. It's not cheap. But there is no Pirate theme dining at Disney World. Hope this helps

We had a couple of pirates hanging out with our Adventures by Disney group at Café Orleans at Disneyland. So if anyone is lucky to be eating lunch at the same time as the Adventures by Disney tour group, they may see pirates....but they won't get to interact with them.

I have looked and looked. I remember seeing pics of new celebration cakes being available with the 2009 promo. I thought their was a treasure chest cake. I can't find it for the life of me!
Anyone, anyone, Bueller?

My Mini-Cake Surprise includes your own mini celebration cake with a special treat, packaged one of three ways: in a Sorcerer Mickey Celebration Bucket (Disneyland Resort only), Disney Princess Jewelry Box or Disney Pirate Treasure Chest. Available at Walt Disney World character dining and buffet locations; at Disneyland Resort in full-service restaurants, character dining and through room service.

Can't find the pics right now, sorry.

I'm hoping that this could mean there is one in the works, because;
*The Pirate theme party at the Poly Neverland club is the Peter Pan pirates.
(The commercial was POC realistic pirates)
*The commercial was advertising Celebrating at the "Parks", so shouldn't be a Cruise ship thing.
Besides they need more character meals for the boys (and us bigger girls;) )

CBRs new pirate themed rooms could be just the beginning... pirate:
Anyways, it's all just wishful thinking on my part, AND they better get busy and come up with something before my next visit!! ;)

I REALLY wish they would do something like a pirate dinner. Our entire family would enjoy that. I'm a girl and I get tired of all the princess stuff. I've often thought that even a Peter Pan themed meal would be cool. The boys would have Peter, the Pirates, and the Indians and the girls could have Wendy and Tink. Even if "Tink" was just little glittering lights and tinkling sounds....I think most people would enjoy that.

The princessess and playhouse Disney stuff is cute, but once your kids become teens, you would still like to enjoy the fun of "character meals", but something a little more grown up. And I do believe that teens hate "stuffy, grown-up" restaurants more than little ones!
