Anyone have exp w/ Orange Lake?
How far from WDW -

Trying to decide an off site for 2 adults.
any suggestions?

I can't help with you Orange Lake, but I have a suggestion. I just came back from a stay at the Doubletree Club LBV and was very pleased with our choice. The place isn't fancy, but it is clean and comfy. IF you wanted to walk, the hotel is about 25 minutes from Downtown Disney (and Disney transportation). The hotel has a fairly decent shuttle schedule to the Disney parks. The pool is a decent size, and was pretty much empty the whole time we were there.

I don't know what time of year you are going, but the Doubletree is available for approximately $44/night through Hotwire.

If you have any questions, please post 'em.

Hi Orange Lake is HUGE and I mean Huge time share condo development about 4 miles west of Disney on hwy 192. Old, older, newer and new condos. They have been building for about 10 years and keep adding on.

For two adults it would be a very busy, trafficcy, bustling area. There are nice pools that can be a long long walk from the condo...

for golfers there is great golf and a lighted 9 hole par 3.

Not sure what you want...and what is your price range, but if you want just a really nice condo there are lots and lots around for 70-80 a night for 2BR/2Bath with pool and nice amenities...

If you want top of the line, marble baths, fancy fancy furniture, be sure to insist on one of the newer units at Orange Lake...

Good Luck...Ted

Orange Lake is great, but PLEASE, do not settle for a "studio" unit there. They are AWFUL!. We stayed in one on our first bonus week with RCI and since there were only 2 of us, they reserved a studio. They do not have windows that open and they are entered by an internal hallway .... the air was stale and stangnant. They were however, clean and fully equipped, but not really that comfortable. Try for a 2 bedroom, much nicer and a very good choice. ( sometimes RCI reps try to say that since there are only 2 of you, you only need a studio.. .don't let them force you to take a studio, tell em there are 6 of ya! it's worth the extra $$$!!!!) :smooth:

We stayed in a 3 BR/3 BA at Cypress Pointe Resort May 7-14 and thought it was great. It is right across from Downtown Disney. We were in the TTC for MK in less than 9 minutes.
