hi,
i am almost through re-designing all of my pages now that I have found you!!! :dance3: :worship:

If you have any extra time, will you please look at this book and make comments or suggestions for me?

Also, I can't think of how I want to do the cover.

Keep in mind, this book is being made from 4 different families worth of pictures- and it is meant to be 1 book that represents all of us who went on the trip- It was very hard for me because as you will see I had a tendency to write more about my kids/family... only normal.... I have asked the others for journaling to add so that it's not too biased.

Will you please coach me--- comment--- make suggestions?

thanks!!!

T

I have not finished looking at your book, but so far I think it is fantastic. One question.... how did you load all the disney digital embellishements to the book and the disney font? I am working on a photo book with shutterfly(not disney), but have not seen them advertise anything with a disney theme. I am curious how you did it. What a great gift idea!

It looks really great! I love the graphics and the fonts. I found a few things to fix, if you haven't ordered it yet... Let me know if you want to know them...

That's very nice! I suppose if I was one of the other families, I might notice there was less of my family than of yours, but as an outsider, it's not obvious.

absolutely! I haven't spell checked yet so especially if you see that stuff--- send it all along!

thank you! this is exactly what I was hoping for!

Hi-
I make the pages in a different program-- currently I am using Print Shop 22 and Story Book Creator Plus from CM. Then I export the page as 1 jpg. Upload the jpg like you would your pics and then use a single photo layout as your page- and then drop it on.

I was in the same boat--- this book was completed 2 months ago! Then I stumbled upon digi-scrappin this way and had to go re-do the entire book! If you notice, all of the pool pics are still just plain using shutterfly! It took me FOREVER that way too- because I was killing myself trying to find Disney-like paper from within shutterfly! I know exactly what you mean!!!

oh good good--- plus they were all given notice and asked for pics and stuff so I can't feel too badly--- it's HOURS of love in here..... they will appreciate that.

Just 3 things that jumped out at me...

  • Perla is spelled Pearla on page 7, but it looked right on the other pages.
  • Pages 20-21 and 22-23 are exactly the same, just different colors (I like the 22-23 pages better, but I know you don't care which I like. :))
  • I think you should write everyone's ages and their relationship to the birthday boy next to their names in the beginning pages - that way, anyone who looks at the book gets the whole reason for the trip.
Other than those things, I thought it looked really nice. :) Good job!

Wow. Kinda sounds above my computer skills. I have not done any digital scrapping, except for shutterflys already made pages. I have thought about buying the CM Story Bood Plus for the disney digital stuff, but figured it was to complicated. I did get their disney scrap kits, but I am not that happy with them, so I figured I would not like the digital stuff either.

I noticed what Mickster found, but also found that layout 16-17 is the same as layout 18-19 just different backgrounds.

I am not a digi-scrapper, but I loved your album. How creative you are in your choices. Think others have already mentioned what I observed - go for it!!! TFS. :thumbsup2

so, the pages that are (were for some) dups are because i did them once, then re-did them and THOUGHT I liked the 2nd try MUCH better but I wanted feedback!

I LOVE that I made this thread to get your opinions.

About loading them to shutterfly once you make a page--- it's very simple--- you just need to have another program to make the page in--- that is more difficult thing but still not too hard :) I know you could do it--- we all started out in the same boat. I am still new- and wish I could catch up to the professionals around here-- but I am doing the work I do in just a few short weeks.....

It's addicting! Almost more addicting then when I started to paper scrap!

(I am now just having issues with the cost of printing an album once it's made.... ugh! This Disney one is up to around 114. i KNOW i didn't buy an album (CM 30 something or AC Moore 15 or so....) and the paper and the stickers.... but when I think that it's all "free" to make once you have your digi kits- the thought of 114 is a little scary to me!)

anyone know a cheaper place to print???

thanks!
T

I have never scrapped digi, but I love your book. Everyone is very lucky to get one. I don't blame you about the price it does sound high. However it might be cause you are paying it all at once. God knows how much our paper albums are if we were to add everything up. Come to think of it oh never mind I don't even wanna go there. Anyway it looks great. It looks like everyone had a magical time. I love the Halloween pages.

hi-
I really appreciate your comments. If you find any other spelling errors or think I could use any other LOs for pages... I'm all ears!

I am almost done--- I am trying to finish this book by the end of this week.

Thanks sooooo much!
Theresa
