Anytime a CM goes above and beyond (had it happen 3 times last trip). We have always filled out this "comment card" type form. I was assured by the GF's front desk manager that it would be delivered to the CM and their manager would know about it. Can any current/former CM's speak to if this is true?

Just wondering if the time we take at the front desk/concierge to praise a CM actually is useful.

Side note I also usually tip CM's who don't "normally" get tipped if they go above and beyond I have had most turn me down until I insisted. I'm assuming like most companies the guest/customer must offer twice?

I am a former CM of 12 years and yes, those comments are noticed and passed along. CM's receive a Guest Fanatic card congratulating them and it goes positively on their record.
So I highly encourage anyone who receives exceptional service to make mention of it. I know the times I have received them, helped remind me of why I loved my job.

Thank you very glad to know that the CM will be recognized and it shows in their record. We will continue writing the cards in the future.

I have read in other threads that cm's in non tipped positions are not allowed to take tips and if the guest insists they are to accept with a smile and thank them to not couse a scene and then hand it to their supervisors.
This may be wery wrong and in that case I apologise and please ignore this but if it is it would explain why you had to insist

Where would one go to get a comment card? Say I was in a store and received excellent service, do I just ask a CM for a card? Do I ask for a manager? Or if it's an exceptional cast member who is a photo pass photographer, a ride attendant or the like, do I go to guest relations?

Sorry for the questions, just curious so I know how I can help a great cm. :thumbsup2

Yep they do according to my daughter who did the College Program in 2012. She got an award called the Guest Services Award. Someone filled out a card about her. :thumbsup2

We spoke to the concierge at our resort to get the "card"(more like a page) we filled out for the 3 CM' last trip. One CM was in Magic Kingdom, another at the resorts general merchandise store, and the last was in Germany at Epcot. So I don't think it matters where they are located or their job title. Just get the card a from the concierge at your resort.
