Neither were on the room service menu, we just called and asked. It was so nice but omgexpensive.... much like the rest of the trip but I keep reminding Thomas that it's our first week away alone together since we got married 20 years ago so we're due a splurge. Now I just have to tell the kids they'll be living on beans and ramen for the rest of the year. ;-)

So I have always wanted to stay at the Poly but know that you can get sushi and Lapu Lapu's on room service .... I REALLY want to stay at the Poly!

I'm sure they could whip one up for you in a Wetherspoon's?

"These photos are deceptive as these were the biggest plates of food ever! So, we forced down what we could - the burgers were delicious and the chips really fresh so we all felt bad about leaving so much food on the plate. Is this a British thing?"

Ellen.. I completely agree with reading too much and then it falling short! This is what happened with us at V&A's Chef Table.. I was just expecting some extras cause we were at the Chef's Table and they never materialized.. The meal was excellent.. I was just expecting something more.. Especially for those prices!

Thank you for saying that (although I am sorry you had a similar experience at V&A's)....It made me feel much better- I hated to sound like a rag over something that was cooked very, VERY well in every way- a bar set too high is never a good thing -or maybe, rarely, an OK thing.

But speaking of Beaches & Cream, Brenda (emmysmommy) & Em had lunch there on Thursday, but before that update Brenda sent this short snack update from Magic Kingdom's...




She said, "Before I share our lunch plans...I wanted to say that I tried a Dole Whip yesterday. I was going to share a Dole Whip float with Em but she took one spoonful and didn't like it."





"I on the other had found it delightful!! So refreshing on a hot day."




"For lunch we deviated from "the plan" and went to..."

"Even though I had this in Feb./Mar., I didn't really like it this trip."

"The onion app is served with a spicy creole mustard sauce. It was quite good but I was far too chatty with our table mates to eat much."



Following their dinner at Crew's Cup, Brenda and Em went on an Illuminations cruise.

For lunch we stopped at Mexico's...

"We always pretty much get the same thing here and we always enjoy it."

"The kids like the nachos with just cheese."




"I got them each one, but they could have shared since they each ate half."



"DH and I got the nachos loaded with everything and they were really good."






"For dessert we got churritos."




"This was a good amount of food. We like eating here. It wasn't crowded at all today and we had a nice quiet lunch."

"DH and I split the turkey sandwich. It had turkey and brie with arugula, tomatoes and cranberry sauce. I asked them to put the cranberry sauce on the side and they gladly obliged."




"It was pretty good, but it would have been better toasted a bit so the brie was nice and gooey. It was a huge sandwich with plenty of yummy house made chips."



"DD got the cheese flatbread."




"This is something she orders a lot and always enjoys it."



"DS got the ham and cheese sandwich."



"He liked it OK. Said he wasn't a fan of the mustard so next time he would order it without."

He said, "I woke up this morning and wasn't feeling that well, so I just had a small breakfast in my hotel."

"On my way to the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Expo to pick up my race packet and shirts, I stopped by Trader Sam's to grab one of their non-alcoholic coolers. I had the Skipper Sipper. It was ok, but it might have tasted better if my stomach hadn't been unsettled."



Skipper Sipper - Tropical Juices, Organic Agave Nectar, Falernum, Mint, and Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice topped with Soda Water.





"I snacked on a churro (not pictured) and decided to head to Wine Country Trattoria for dinner."





"This might have been one of my least favorite Disney meals ever. I had the Campanelle Bolognese, which was forgettable, and the service was inattentive. I wouldn't go back to that restaurant."





"I finished my evening with the Fantasmic! Premium Viewing with Dessert Sampler."





"It came with a nice selection of dessert treats and unlimited soda, coffee, and bottled water. I really enjoyed this and the price was worth it for the great seat (without having to camp out in advance!) We were invited to remain in our seats for the fireworks after Fantasmic! and drink refills were offered between the shows."

"We arrived to Disney about 4 p.m. yesterday and checked into..."





"After some issues with adding Emme's AP to her Mickey band, so they gave us 6 fast passes to use how we want which allowed us to ride b2b rides which was fantastic!"







"After two fast paced hours at MK and getting caught in some light drizzle, we made our way to 'Ohana."








"Friendship bread. Emme ate the insides of 2 loaves."

"We were sat to the side of the pit with a blocked view of Magic Kingdom. We moved to watch the fireworks. Our ADR was at 8:15."










"The salad was refreshing and delicious. I ate half myself."












"Long time no Lapu Lapu and happily reunited (and it feels so good)."






"I have issues with their soggy wings. I wish they were crispy. The potstickers were tasty as always. These things are authentic tasting and amazing."





"Emme doesn't eat meat for the most part so I asked for a bowl of rice and she ate the rice with broccoli and bread. That cost me $16.99."

"I sliced my right thumb using a mandolin last Sunday and it's still really sore so peeling these were a disaster. I did eat two and I was so sad I couldn't peel anymore as the shrimp was cooked perfectly."







"The red meat was cooked just how I liked. It was scrumptious! Even the second helping was cooked great."





"The chicken was a wee bit dry though."






"The pork surprised me this trip. It was flavorful ad so moist. I had two servings because I'm greedy."






"Emme participated in the hula and coconut races. She had a blast."

"Overall, a fantastic meal at 'Ohana minus the spotty service. Cousin Denise was busy. We got to watch Wishes too! I parked my car at the Poly valet for free using my TIW. I actually valeted at 5:30 p.m. and picked up at 10:00 p.m. with no issues."

He said, "We drove down from South Carolina yesterday. Checked into OKW. Our room was ready so we unpacked then took the bus to Epcot. We had lunch at..."

FYI - I asked David about access to the Top of the World lounge, and he said that they had opened it up last year to all DVC members staying on points at ANY DVC resort on property. This includes guests that are staying with you.

"Meatball subs with chips - we all loved these. They were cooked to order, so whilst we had to wait a few minutes, they seemed the better option to the pile of pre-cooked pizzas!"

"Cappuccino cupcake - delicious. Moist, not overly sweet, just yummy."






"Cookies - they were out of the fresh baked adult ones, so DD and DH got two of these each. They had no complaints!"
