Half Rotisserie Chicken with garlic butter, rosemary and mashed potatoes

"Oldest daughter had the chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. She loved it. The chicken was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. The mashed potatoes were so creamy and definitely real potatoes. These were topped with a light gravy and fresh chopped chives."

That chicken looks so good. I was planning on having the meatloaf like last year, but I'm starting to lean towards the chicken now. Maybe I can get DH to order this so I can have both LOL!

Cavatappi Chicken Alfredo with peas, bacon and parmesan

"I had the cavatappi. This is so delicious! The corkscrew shaped pasta was perfectly cooked and served with Alfredo sauce that's not too heavy. The peas are crisp and fresh, not mushy at all. The bacon crumbles provided a nice crunch to the dish. The chicken is julienned and was great as well."

Why can I not get this quoting thing under control? Grrr...I tried to not quote the whole post the first time and it ended up looking like I wasn't "quoting" anything!

You delete whatever you don't want to be included, but make sure you keep the beginning and end of the quote. So for instance, with your above quote, you must keep the

Just when I think I'm familiar with most of the food at WDW I read your thread and learn something new! Those breakfast sandwiches at DHS - Fairfax?? looked really good! What a great option for something that's not a pastry or fresh fruit.

The Wave breakfast buffet options have me tempted to go for it and try some of those pancakes and eggs bendict. ;)

Barb - looks like you've done a great job recruiting - so many people are on-board! :)

Barb - looks like you've done a great job recruiting - so many people are on-board! :)

Hi Brenda! Just one more week and I will have the honor of receiving live updates from you and Emily again. I had no idea when we started this thing during your August trip, that it would still be going strong 6 months later. ;)

Anyway, thank you for reminding me that I must give some attention to my recruiting duties. The live reporter schedule looks great and very active for the next 2+ weeks, with anywhere from 4 - 10 reporters there each day. Of course, that's what I thought about the schedule for the first two weeks of February. :worried: So with that in mind, if anyone is going to Disney World between now and March 4 and would like to join the live reporting team but hasn't yet, I will squeeze you in. If I end up receiving more updates than I'm able to handle for one day, I'll just carry them over to the next day or so. But I promise that all the updates I receive will get posted eventually. :thumbsup2

But now I need to address the rest of March, plus April - June, so....

:cheer2::cheer2: ITS RECRUITMENT TIME!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

As of now, here are my volunteers who are arriving in March...

MARCH

Stini228 will be visiting WDW from 3/1 - 3/4 and has offered to do live updates for us while there!

woodleygrrl will be there from 3/3 - 3/10 and has volunteered to do live updates for us!

emmebear & Emme, along with her parents will be at Disney World from 3/7 - 3/10 and will be doing live updates for us again!

#1eeyoregirl is at WDW from 3/8 - 3/17 and offered to do live updates while there!

carmie3377 and family plus 8 friends are cruising on the Disney Fantasy from 3/9 - 3/16 and has offered to send us updates upon her return home!

MicRac will be at Disney World from 3/16 - 3/22 and has volunteered to do live updates!

dvc4life - Chris & family are combining a few days at Disney World with a 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream from 3/16 - 3/23. First they have a one night stay at SSR before leaving on their cruise on 3/17 and then 2 nights at AKL when they return on 3/21. Chris has again volunteered to do live updates for us!

DannysMom is there from 3/20 - 3/27 and she has offered to do live updates for us!

GoofySon'sMom - Vicki & the Goofy Son (Andrew) will be at Disney World 3/22 - 3/26 and will again be live reporters for us!

podsnel - Ellen and her son (Tim) will be spending 2 nights at Disney World (3/22 - 3/24) before their 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream. Ellen has again volunteered to do live updates for us!

Arielle71 - Arielle will be there from 3/24 - 4/10 and has offered to do live updates for us!

And then for my big announcement...

jabead & family will be there from 3/23 - 3/30 and is very excited to be able to do some of her own live reporting!

:cool1: YES, THE JABEAD FAMILY IS GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!! :cool1:

So if all goes as planned I will be posting my own live updates during the last week of March. I will also try to finish up with DannysMom, since our trips partially overlap. Vicki (GoofySon'sMom) had previously offered to try and post a few updates directly to the live thread, so hopefully that will work out. And Ellen (podsnel) is only there for a few days before leaving on their cruise, so I should be able to get her updates posted. I also have a couple of volunteers lined up to receive and post our updates, in the event I'm unable to. So with a little luck and Disney magic (aka decent WI-FI ;) ), the live thread will remain active during the last week of March. :thumbsup2

But I am still recruiting live reporters for these days in March:

March 11 thru March 22 - 3 or 4 more needed

Barb- so glad you'll be getting to take your own trip soon.

I keep waiting for you to recruit for August because we will be back again then. In fact, I'll be booking ADRs in a couple of days. No pressure though- I'm amazed at the dedication you've put into this. It's so much fun to follow.

Hi barb. Wish I could meet up with you during your trip but my sister is visiting for 2 weeks. :(

However, I'm going to take my parents & emme on a surprise trip to Disney from march 7-10 & can do some live reporting if you still need it. My mom loves to garden & she will love the flower festival.

My parents took me to Disney for the very first time when I was 10 (we drove down from Louisville!) so now I'm returning the favor. :)

Barb, that is great that you will be able to get a trip in! And you will be partially overlapping with me. Cool. Where will you be staying? We will be at BCV. As an aside, the trip is feeling real now, I just got my ME tags yesterday. Yay!

I am less than technically savvy, so not a great candidate for posting directly to the thread. But I will have my more technically savvy DH with me, so I **might** be able to figure it out, or have him do it for me! ;). (If the wi-if cooperates!). As we get closer just let me know how you want to proceed.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards App, please excuse any typos or autocorrects!

Yes, I'm sad we won't be able to meet in person. But there is still a chance I'll be returning for a long weekend trip sometime in December. (Are we still on Linda & Brenda???) So anyway, we may have another opportunity yet this year.

And definitely yes, I would love to have you reporting again in March! :thumbsup2

Since our trip has been on again, off again since September, our plans are still not set. I'm thinking though that we will be staying at Wilderness Lodge for the first two or three nights and then at the Swan for the rest of the week. If you were planning to send your updates by text, I should be able to post them myself, as I have a Photobucket app on my IPhone and can download pics directly from my phone to Photobucket. If you will be going the email route, I will probably have you send to one of the backups for posting beginning on the 23rd, unless you and your DH think you'd like to give it a try and do it yourselves.

I'll be posting a pic of the jabead family sometime before our trip, so if you should see us...please, please, please say hello! :goodvibes And the same goes for anyone else who is crazy enough to be going to Disney World that week. A week of perfect 10's for predicted crowd levels!!! :scared1:

Congrats on your trip! I know you are excited. I have a friend at work who is going that same week, and this is their first trip! I've tried to give him as many tips as possible. I told him not to judge WDW based on the crowds that week, and just try not to get stressed out! He is pretty laid back though, and I think his wife is too, so hopefully they will have a great time.

So happy you get to enjoy your own trip....i love this thread and understand all the hard work you put in!

Our trips dates are an exact match -- seem like alot going during that time...we should plan a quick meetup :)

Barb, I'm so excited to see all the volunteers for the next few months -- but even more excited to see that you have a trip coming up next month. :)

I have been following this tread for many months (in secret !) and I would be happy to contribute with some updates of our own if you need them...

We will be there frome march 24th to april 10th, yes 17 days total:yay:

I could send my updates via Imessage or regular e-mail from the resort,as our phone contract doesn't work in the states:confused:

Time for just a quick update before I have to leave again to run some errands. Sadly, we haven't received anything yet from Disney World, but I did receive this Disney-related update from Kathymford.

Kathy said, "So for Valentines Day my DBF Steve surprised me with a Lady and the Tramp dinner and a movie date at Disneys Soda Fountain and Studio Store here in Hollywood, CA. For those that dont know, the studio store is attached to the Disney-owned El Capitan Theatre. It was such a great surprise and so well done as you will see below!"

Jabead, congrats on your upcoming trip! Any ADRs? Trying anyplace new?

We are going in May - arriving Wed 5/8 and leaving Mon 5/20. It's just DH and I as DD is in college. For the first time we are trying DxDP. I know, it will be way too much food, but it lets me justify trying a ton of restaurants including ones that are not so often seen on this thread.

The trouble is that we are not 'camera people' and DH wants us not to take any internet-connected devices with us. I see his point; it's one way of assuring that we really do get away from the real world and focus on WDW and each other rather than getting sucked into e-mail and the net. If he has his way there will just be 1 cell phone and it will mostly stay locked in the safe in the room.

So until that is resolved I can't say whether I can volunteer or not. I'd like to, if only because I have gained so much from this thread and would like to give back a little. I'll let you know as time gets closer.

We have received an update from Disney World!!! :cool1:
