Coming Off of the Turnpike

Ok I have this so far(driving up from West Palm-usually DH drives but he's going with my MIL/FIL)

From northbound on the Florida Turnpike: take Osceola Parkway which connects with U.S. Highway 192 and the Walt Disney World Resort


Everytime I print directions from mapquest it gets me lost! But I can follow Disney signs really well, so say I were to follow the directions posted above & I'm staying at POP which signs do I follow? Just keep going towards WDW until I see signs for what? Should I follow signs to Animal KIngdom & then since Pop is in the Animal Kingdom resort area, there will be signs? Sorry If this is jumbled, I'm a little nervous and like to have very easy concise directions! Thanks everyone!

When you get off the turnpike exit 249 onto the Osceola Parkway, head West towards Disney, it's straight from there, no turns until you are on Disney property

There is a small section of Osceola Parkway that is a toll road.

After you pass under the Walt Disney arches, ESPN wide world of sports will be on the left,Pop Century on the right, the road is Victory Way

If you keep going straight, next right turn is World Drive/the right turn to Magic Kingdom/Epcot/Hollywood Studios

Still going straight on Osceola Parkway you will dead end into Animal Kingdom

OT: Just before the dead end at Animal Kingdom is a bear left continuing to Animal Kingdom Lodge or (left at a light) Sherberth Road that takes you south to 192 Two nice home style buffet restaurants are on the other side slightly to the west; take a right on 192 and immediately make a left through a median break. Sherberth does not have a welcoming arch.

Rather than conculting MapQuest, try using Google Maps. There are some nasty surprises that a Google Maps street view will provide which can not be seen on a road map of any type on line or off line. I haven't learned how to use Google Earth very well, but it looks even better.

As an example, a road map might seem to show it is possible to ramp onto Eastbound Epcot Center Dr. from Northbound World Drive, but the ramp leads into the Epcot parking lot.

Another example: There are two parking entrances for the DHS: north side from Beuna Vista Drive and south from World Drive just past 192 but before Osceola Pkwy. There is a huge multi-lane ticket booth on the south entrance; only a two lane booth on the north side. Cars plus any and all DHS buses compete for the left and right turn lane on BV Dr. into the north parking gate. You can not turn off the Osceola Pkwy and gain entrance into the south gate.

Drivers beware!

Psst! From the Epcot entrance toll booth you can skip to the exit back onto Epcot Center Drive towards Downtown Disney and I-4.

If you are unsure, ask the toll booth attendant. Thank him and drive on.

Coming west on Osceola, you can get onto I-4 west (before the Disney arches on Osceola). Then onto 192 west and into the big Disney entrance there. Now you can get into Hollywood Studios via its big south toll plaza. Whether after a few more miles of driving this is faster compared with going in the small north DHS toll plazs I don't know.

If you make a mistake and end up in the south DHS entrance, you can also skip to the exit. But DHS has only one exit, the little north exit onto Buena Vista.
