Hi there, my 15 yr old daughter and I, along with her soccer team, will be flying to London on Monday. We are very excited(minus the flight-I hate flying )... We are spending 4 nights in Chester and 4 nights in London! My question is about electronics. I know I need an adapter for these over there, but do I need a convertor for my straightening iron...I am very confused by how all this works...looking very forward to this trip, and seeing your amazing country!

your straightening iron will not work if it's not built for traveling - look at the voltage indicator, if it says 110/220, it can be used for travel, otherwise not..

and don't stick any north american appliances into a european wall, if you don't know for sure you can - you'll fry them.

by the way, i know they sell travel straightening irons in north america, as i've bought one there before....i think i was in target or kmart....it's much smaller than the regular one, but it says on it that it can be used for travel and is marked 110/220....

definately agree on the straighteners, do not put in our sockets over here if it doesn`t have 110/220 as it will fry them, when we go your way they just do not work, anyway have a great time in Chester I live 7 miles away and it is a fantastic city, are you here for a tournament, my daughter plays football as well for Frodsham girls and is rather good.
