Any suggestions for comfortable, cute sandals to wear all day at DL??? I'd like to be able to wear dresses and cute sandals, but not kill my feet! Unfortunately, flip flops bother my arches when I wear them all day, otherwise I'd go that route...

I have the same problem with my arches that you seem to have. I love my high arches that I've built up from years of ballet, but they can get VERY sore especially during a long day of walking in DL. I'm not sure if you have every tried Rainbow sandals, but they are fantastic for me. They're flip flops that have great arch support. They cost about $40 to $50 a pair, but they will last you years. I've had mine for almost 2 years now and they haven't started to degrade at all. My old roommate had gotten a pair during her freshman year of high school and they lasted her until the end of our freshman year of college. They also take a few good wears to break in but I really find them worth the money, and I can wear them all day long at DL without my arches hurting.

Hope that helps!! :goodvibes

Have you seen Reef Sandals? If you need to wear flip flops this is a choice of people who wear them all day.

If you need a sandal that is not a flip flop, I would looks at Chaco's first then Tevas. Chaco's are the first choice of river guides.

I have a lot of foot problems and love my Orthaheels. They're 45.00-65.00 a pair and well worth it. It does take a week or so to get used to them because they have a special arch that is supposed to align your whole body. You could check out the styles on the Footsmart website.

They cost a bundle, but you can't beat MBT. I wear sandals and sundresses all the time to Disney, and MBTs are the greatest. I justify the cost because they are the ONLY shoes I wear. Literally, I have one pair of MBT sandals and one pair of MBT 'flats' and that's what I wear 360 days of the year (I have heels for special occasions on the other 5 days).

Just my 2 cents...

Not sure if they are cute but I have always wore Tevas with no problems all day in the parks.:)

Rainbow Sandals!!!!!!! I have a not-so-little shoe addiction and they are the only kind of flip flops I wear. Of the 50+ pairs of shoes I have, my Rainbows are my absolute favorite! They come in a bunch of styles, colors and you can get an extra layer in the arch, which is really great if you have arch problems! I have several pairs and they last a long time! You do need to definitely wear them in before you go to Disneyland - you will be very sorry if you don't - but if I were to ever wear flip flops at Disneyland, I would only ever consider wearing Rainbows. Definitely look them up online, or if you are in Southern California, go to the Rainbow Sandal shoe factory in San Clemente!

Ahhhh, :sigh:

I know how you feel, as a shoe lover and a new mom I have definitely experienced the is there a cute but functional sandal out there?!

And there are... I love the walking store and they really do not carry anything uncomfortable from what I have experienced so far.

Abeo's are great and cute, Ecco's are extremely comfortable and Dansko has a great collection too.

I suggest going in and having them help you, they really know their stuff.

Good luck!

I could not agree more!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I absolutely love my Reef flip flops, the "Sandy" style. I bought them from Piperlime for about $25. And normally I whole-heartedly recommend wearing tennis shoes of some sort in DLR, I would ditch those to wear my Reef's all day in a heartbeat. They are so comfy, and I had no problem wearing them ALL DAY last trip. :thumbsup2 So, if you do consider flips flops these would be the only ones I would recommend. As far as other sandals go, it looks like other posters have some great suggestions to try.

I second Tevas. I wear Teva's a lot, and with dresses. But they're not dressy. But I live in Seattle, and there's an "REI chic" look that's everywhere LOL. Teva mush flip flops are very popular with the WDW crowd.

But I also love my Croc Athens flip flops. They're comfy and come in solid colors. You can walk forever in them. Haviana flip flops are my favorite, but they don't offer a lot of support and gave my blisters when I wore them to DLR before.

They are not sandals, but TOMS are so comfy all day long in the park and they look cute with everything! I wore them all four days of my last trip and felt better than I had on all my previous trips.

I wear Fitflops. I've worn Teva Mush, Reef flip flops and Chacos. Once I tried Fitflops I only wear those. I even bought their tennis shoes :) SUPER comfy!

I love Sanuk Yoga Mat Flip Flops (and they're shoes too!). They're made out of a yoga mat, so it's so soft and cushy when you're walking all day. The bottoms of my feet normally crack if I wear flat flip flops and walk a lot but I've had absolutely no problems with these and wore them for four straight days in the park as well as day to day errands, etc.

Whatever you decide, I hope you find something cute and comfy!!!

I read about Teva mush flip flops on here. My entire family tired them on our last trip. We all loved them. They are cheap and super comfy.

Reef for me, DH prefers Eddie Bauer & they boys love love love their Nerf flip flops.

I've worn canvas Toms at the park all day and been fine. There's actually some arch support in those shoes!

I have some Teva sandals (not flip flops) but strappy sandals with very comfortable footbed. They are fantastic. I liked them much more than Keens.

Have you tried Haviana flip flops? Those are super comfy too.

I just can't cross over to the Crocs in public thing. Those are my garden shoes. I don't wear them past the driveway :rotfl:

I LOVE my Teva Olawahu flip flops. I wore them 5 days in a row and my feet weren't hurting at all. Even when I wear my tennis shoes that long, they hurt!
