Comfortable beds

I don't think I have ever seen anyone post anything about the beds in the staterooms. We were wondering about the quality of the mattresses. Are they nice and comfortable or as hard as a brick? My dad has arthritis and has trouble sleeping sometimes. After staying in many different hotels inexpensive and moderately priced I no longer have any illusions about what I might be sleeping on. Just thought it would be nice to know ahead of time. Can you get extra pillows if you request them?

Also, are the rooms individually climate controlled? Do they tend to run on the cold or hot side?

The bed, room etc... all exceeded my expectations.

Maybe it was the sea air, the activity or maybe even the pixie dust they sprinkled in the cabin. I slept like a baby.

The beds are just firm enough, but that's a bit of a subjective question. I've always slept like a baby but with the lulling of the ocean and the complete darkness in the inside stateroom how can you go wrong. My husband is a bit more particular and he's had no complaints either.

The climate in each stateroom is individually controlled.

Personally, I found the beds to be a little on the firm side, but quite acceptable.

You should be able to get extra pillows if you need them - just ask your room steward.

after being in a car accident ten years ago I still suffer from neck problems and need four pillows when I sleep to support myself correctly. On both of our prior cruises this was not a problem. I just called housekeeping when we boarded and the pillows magically appeared at bedtime. The beds were fine I think. ann

With all the sun, fun and excitement - You'll fall asleep before your head hits the pillow! The beds were fine, but I can sleep anywhere!!

My husband and I were very pleased with the bed AND the temperature of the room. We never even touched our thermostat and commented that we slept better on the cruise than we do at home! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise -- we felt that ship move! But it was a great way to fall asleep each night.

The left half of our bed was pretty good, but the right half had one spot where you could feel a spring. I have back problems, too, and with the help of multiple pillows, I had no problems on the ship. My only real complaint was that there was a good 1/2" height difference between the two mattresses. Snuggling with DH in the morning got uncomfortable for whoever was in the crack.

The rooms are individually climate controlled. I quickly found the right setting for during the day (when we're wearing shorts or maybe a wet swimsuit) and at night (we like it cooler when we sleep). The air conditioning system worked great.

Just returned from the Wonder on Sunday. I have to say the bed was great and I loved the pillows. I slept soooooo good. But then I was pretty tried at the end of the night. Have fun!
