Here is the text directly from the Comfort Suites web site. Notice that there is not a fee or charge for additional guest more than two. These are more like 'taxes' ( The energy tax/surcharge is mandated by the Bahamas.) for ALL guests 16 and older. And, there is a strict limit to four persons per room.
I understand that the Atlantis does have a pricey surcharge for additional guest????

Property Details:
Located adjacent to the Atlantis Resort and Paradise Island Casino where our guests have full use of the facilities: pools, beach, tennis, health club, water park and signing privileges in all of their gourmet/speciality restaurants/lounges. Children 15 years and under stay free in parent's room.
Must Have 1 Adult 21 Years Or Older in Each Room. Children 15 and under stay free if sharing room with parents or grandparents, when no additional bedding is required. Senior Age 60 or older. All guests 16 and older are charged a $7.50 per person per day housekeeping gratuity and energy surcharge. Children 12-15 are charged $3.50 per person/per day. Fee is in addition to sales tax.

It says that check-in is 3:OOp.m. but I have never heard of anyone having a problem checking in right away. It can be convenient to leave your key with them at the front desk. That way, you will not have to walk back over to check out, then possibly back over to the Atlantis where you will be sure to find a Taxi.
It is indeed very easy to taxi over. Just as the previous poster described. Also, when leaving the Atlantis to return to the ship, there should be taxis waiting there for you. Since there is not as much traffic/demand.... They will usually not wait for their van to be full. Our taxi back had a total of five passengers. It wasn't the nice air conditioned ride that we had over to the Atlantis, but it did the trick!
