We stayed in that area years ago and back then did not feel safe. Maybe its improved ?

Oh wow!!! I've booked it for this yr but am unsure and have been looking into Windsor Hills. The price was great and had good reviews on tripadvisor. Why didn't you feel safe? Was it the parking/area/or resort itself????

It was several years ago but we had reservations for the maingate beside old town.OMG Is all I could say. We did not even unload the car. The place was a dump. I had booked the room through priceline and priceline even gave our money back due to the pictures of the room we supplied them.

We stayed there in December 2008...the only issue we had were slow elevators....besides that, it was a nice stay. We never felt unsafe.

Wow, we stayed there about 3 years ago and actually really liked it. It was a strange trip where we stayed one night at the CS Maingate for the 1st night, then transferred to Caribe Royale for 3 nights and then moved to Comfort Suites Maingate East (by Old Town) for the remaining 3 nights. We liked the last one the best (and good breakfast too). Although I did like Caribe Royale's pool, and the suite was clean, it was very dark and dreary plus we only went thru the gorgeous lobby to check in, the rest of the time we went in and out of the back and it was not so nice.

We stayed at Comfort Suites Maingate East in 2007 ~ this was my review then

Well, we stayed here for 3 weeks. I can't fault the place. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and there was plenty of space for my family of 5.

Breakfast was lovely and there was always enough variety to not get bored.

We had a poolside room and never had any noise issues from either the pool, Old Town or the 192.

There are laundry facilities on every floor ~ 4 quarters for a wash, the same for a dry.

We had our hire car so can't help with shuttles ~ personally I wouldn't stay offsite without a car.

The only negative ~ the lifts can get very busy and are slow ~ so we often just used the stairs.

Staff were very friendly and helpful ~ when my DD's white husky bought in Canada at Epcot went off on an adventure to the laundrette with the hotel sheets they did their upmost to retrieve him, luckily mission was accomplished successfully!!!

We will definitely return here again.

We stayed again for 17 nights over Christmas and New Year. Again, we had a lovely time, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and it is in such a convenient position for everything. We love staying here and will probably do so next time we come to WDW.

This hotel has always gotten good reviews on here until now. My mom and sister stayed here 5-6 years ago and loved it. The Days Inn at Old Town has always had horrible reviews. I wonder if people have this hotel mixed up with that one???? I always rent a villa now when we go to Florida, but if I didn't, this would be my first choice.

We've stayed here several times. Nice rooms, nice breakfast buffet. Nice pool area. I always request a main floor room so I don't have to use the elevator.
