Hi everyone,
just got back from disney all in all we had a great week. this hotel is very nice!! we had a jr suite which basically had a nice size bathroom, 2 queen beds and a couch which opens into another bed if needed. there is also a little kitchenette area which we did make use of a little bar sink, fridge, and microwave and more cabinet space. the room was always nice and clean!!
every morning between 7 and 10 am they served a continental breakfast they had:
mini donuts (powdered, chocolate, coconut)
mini muffins ( banana nut, poppy seed)
bread to toast (white and wheat)
english muffins ( reg and cinn/raisin)
fruit (apples, bananas and oranges)
waffles (reg and if you got up in time they had chocolate waffles as well)
waffle toppings (of course syprup but they also had whip cream funny to see
the kids load up, i mean load up the whip cream...
hey you're on vacation, right
hard boiled eggs
oatmeal
grits
southern biscuits
cereal (frosted flakes, raisin bran, fruit loops)
fruit topping (this switched from day to day strawberries/bananas &
sliced peaches
dannon yogurts (strawberrry. blueberry & mixed fruit)
motts apple sauce (reg, cinnamon, strawberry)
milk, oj, water and apple juice
coffee
tea (***'t specialty flavors including regular)
hot chocolate
just a note about breakfast....it was kind of crowded and sometimes there wasn't any tables available. we did go outside and sat at some of the tables near the pool that they had available to us!!
pool:
the pool was crystal clean and very nice and warm. they had plenty of seating including some tables with chairs. plenty of towels, but they were on the smaller side so glad we brought our own. hot tub was large probably held aprox 15 people didn't go in but dh and ds said it could of been a little warmer.
yes, there was a resort fee i believe it was either $2.25 or $2.75 per day, i feel it was no big deal because we ate a pretty decent breakfast there everyday. also you get a news paper everyday this was found near the breakfast area. however, we only saw the papers there maybe 3 of the 7 days maybe we got up too late
.
old town, just walk there 5 minutes at the most. it was alright just s0mething to do when you have some down time. we did notice that saturday night was 50's night with the older cars and this place was packed!!
we would definity go back to the comfort suites maingate east in the near future this was a very nice and clean hotel.
