i have already booked Buena Vista for mid-July. We need a separate one bedroom suite from living area within a sleeper sofa. Just recently started looking at the Comfort Suites Main Gate East in Old Town. It will be $70 total cheaper than Buena Vista Suites not a big deal though. We like besides having the one bedroom suite, shuttle and free breakfast like Buena vista. But, Comfort Suites has 2 bathrooms which is noted in the room details (correct me if I'm wrong) we are a family of 4 with 2 teen girls ( one is not quick). Also, I like the idea of the tiki bar with light fare for lunch and dinner if we happen to be at the resort then. I looked quickly at the Buena Vista menus. Not sure it's my family style. I have picky eaters (burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets etc.) Comfort suites seems to have slightly better reviews. How is comfort suites shuttle service in July and does it have to be reserved 24hrs In Advance like Buena Vista? We will have a rental car. How is tiki bar food and do they offer your typical hot dog and burgers? What restaurants are walkable from Comfort Suites ? Someone said you had to run across a a busy street at Buena Vista Suites. How is the pool at Comfort Suites ? Someone said Buena Vistas pool was small. Looking for peoples experiences. Thank you.

We've stayed Buena Vista Suites a few times for short on-the-go trips. The suites are very nicely done. If I wanted hotel time, I probably would not choose there though. We do not stay anywhere in the Old Town area so maybe someone else can help you with that.

I did look at that hotel room descriptions and room details at booking and couldn't find anything about 2 bathrooms. With only 1 bedroom suite I would be very surprised with two baths.

I have stayed at both. My personal pick? Buena Vista. It is much quieter and smaller feeling than other hotels I have stayed at. The pool is small, but that did not stop guests when I was there. As far as food goes, I feel like the quality of the continental breakfast is better than that at Comfort Suites. I did not eat anything else at the hotel though, just because a drive North along South Apopka Vineland takes you to a whole slew of restaurants. World Drive is the road you are thinking of. Yes, it is large. And dangerous. Definitely not something I would attempt, but especially during the heavy traffic hours. Buena Vista does have an area in the front with a sleeper sofa, flat screen TV, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Then a hallway with a door. On one side is a double sink vanity and the other the bathroom. Next is yet another door to the bedroom. Depending what you choose, there will be one king bed or two queens, as well as a table, two chairs, another flat screen TV, and closet. All the doors and two TV's could make a private little room for you daughters if that was something that you felt they would like/appreciate. And of course if they would sleep on the pull out.

I only ever ate breakfast because it was free. They had mickey waffles similar to the Disney ones, so that is a fun bonus. One side of Comfort Suites backs up to Old Town, so one entire side of the hotel is considered the "loud" side. Some people complain about the noise and lights, but this is also the side where Disney fireworks can sometimes be viewed. Your daughters may enjoy Old Town. It has some shops and carnival rides, like a slingshot, that appeal to teens. I know when I was younger I was all about Old Town when I went to Orlando. Every time we visited, regardless if it was a Disney, Universal, or Sea World trip, we would stop in. There are also restaurants, both in Old Town and near the hotel, that are pretty close to walk to. The pool is average I would say. I have never seen two bathrooms in a room at Comfort, so maybe you know something I do not!

Regardless, both hotels are considered Disney Good Neighbor Hotels, so they are held to a higher standard than others nearby. Either way, you cannot really go wrong. I would just read reviews on sites like Trip Advisor, research, and decide what your girls would like. Honestly though, if food is a deciding factor, it sounds like Comfort may be the way to go.
