I have read that you can book a room at the Comfort Suites and use the pools and beaches at Atlantis. I just read the website for Comfort and they say check in time is 3:00pm. If anyone has done this, can you get the wristbands before 3pm?
Thanks.

Yes, you can go ahead and get your wristbands.. You get them at a Kiosk when you walk over and enter The Atlantis. I hear that many people do not ever even use their room, as they are too busy enjoying Atlantis to walk back over to the Comfort.

If you want to look for special rates... We have found that if you proceed as if you are booking the room at Placestostay.com, it will show you promotional rates that are not otherwise advertised or offered. Then, I would recommend calling the Comfort's 1-800 number directly and booking directly thru them. We called and requested the LGOLD rate, and booked our room $134.50. Otherwise, at the Comfort Suites site, they offer an internet users rate which would be cheaper than the standard rate.

We just did this for our June 20 Wonder cruise. We arrived around 10:00 to the Comfort Suites and were able to get our room right away. They give you a card that you take to the Atlantis where they give you the wristbands (at the towel stand).

PS Overall, I wasn't that impressed with the Atlantis. My son was 6 and too small to do all of the slides. Bigger kids will like it. I wish I had saved my money. Let me know if you have any other questions about this. Enjoy your trip!

For pahays210:

I have 2 six year olds and 1 eight yr old. Was it that the 6yr were not allowed on the slides or they just did not like them?
Thanks.

pahays,

My son is just a bit younger than your son... I am thinking that he will really enjoy the dig (he loves aquariums...) and the pools, and the small slides, and the beach, etc..

edited to add -
This is from the map of Atlantis that I have printed off...
Poseidon's Kids Pool and Play area
Ripples Kids Pool and Play area
*shallow freshwater pools ideal for younger guests
*mini waterslides and playful water fountains for enjoyment of little Atlantians

I would love to hear a little more input from you.

They have smaller slides for your 6 yr olds Bill and the snorkel lagoon is suitable for all swimmers, plus the aquarium and the beach. We will be there and if you need an extra arm band let me know and we will do our best to get you one as we only need 3. Is your 8 yr old a boy or a girl? We have an 8 yr old daughter.

My 6 year old was not tall enough to use the big slides (I think it was like 48 inches). There were some smaller slides he enjoyed, but one of them ended up in some water that was too deep for him.
We were really looking forward to it, but just found the whole thing so big and daunting. We needed a map to find our way around (the big slides were very far from the kiddie pool and lazy river). We hit the area over by the big slides for most of the day and then found the kiddie pool and lazy river later.
Also, be ready to shell out the $ for lunch. $6.50 for chicken nuggets and $14 for 2 hamurgers 1 fry and 2 drinks.
Oh, and we saw a celebrity! But, I bet if you see one you'll do better than us; we saw O. J. Simpson sitting in chairs not far from ours!
In the end, I just wasn't sure if a day from 10am until about 3:30pm (when we were just tired and ready to be out of the sun) was worth that much $. (My recommendation is just save the $ and hang out on the cruise ship and enjoy their pools and free food!)
Whatever you decide to do, have a terrific time!

I don't think that if you stay at Comfort Suites that it includes visiting the Dig. When I called and asked the person said that she didn't think it did. I hear that's an extra $25 per person which is probably still a good deal. Does anyone know for sure what it includes?

When we booked the room at Comfort Suites (July 2003), we got a receipt that we had to take to the Atlantis. We checked in at the towel station and showed them our receipt and each of us got a bracelet. That bracelet allowed us to use the pools and to get into the dig. The lady at the entrance to the dig specifically said that since we had that black bracelet we got to go into the dig for free.

A room at the Comfort Suites should enclude everything (including the Dig)... Full access and amenities, including room charges... Just as if you were a guest at the Atlantis itself. :D

YEAH! I went ahead and booked at Comfort Suites before I read the posts about it including everything just in case. When I called Atlantis it was going to be $645.00 for the two rooms. With Comfort Suites it's a little less than $400.00 including taxes and an extra adult person charge for one room so I think that's a great deal considering you get to do everything at Atlantis. We were considering the $70.00 Atlantis excursion through Disney without the pool, but I really wanted to visit the pools so this is even better. Thanks Everyone. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :smooth:
