Is it acceptable for cabin guests to use the comfort stations? I know we have really gone the distance in battles over who can use what...I realize I am a paying guest, but I also know how heavily reliant campers must be on the comfort stations and I don't want to get in the way. I will be staying with 5 girls in my cabin and figured that I'd save some bloodshed if I go to a comfort station by night to do my showering while they use our cabin shower. Also, I'd like to use the laundry facilities to do a few loads about halfway through the trip, so we don't have so much dirty laundry when we get home.

Is it okay?

Joe

Totally dude, :thumbsup2
we have a bathroom in our camper, often times I use the comfort station to save time, far as I'm concerned it'd be the same if I was inna cabin.

Dude,

Five girls? You said five? :dance3::dance3:

By all means, come use our poor camper comfort stations.

Linger in stall #2 all you want (room to spread out).

Run the hot water in the shower all you want.

Process a load of laundry.

Call home or the the office to check in or brag about how relaxed you are.

Then swing back by the cabin to see if the first girl is done yet and if the second one has gotten in yet. Bet there wont be any towels left.:woohoo:

We have an rv with a shower, and I INSIST that my youngest daughter, also known as, "she who will not be rushed in the shower," use the shower at the fort. On days that we want to get to the parks for opening, my husband walks her to the shower (it is still dark), and then throws a load of wash in the washer. I shower in the rv and then head on over to the laundry, and my husband goes to shower. Just about the time the wash is halfway dry, my daughter is done. I walk her back to the rv and then my husband gets the laundry. Without the campground shower, I think I would start each day in a VERY bad mood while waiting for my daughter. This way, at least we are being productive.

So, I think that anyone at the fort who needs the comfort station to keep his/her sanity should use the showers. You definitely fall into that category.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and some great laughs. Growing up with 3 sisters, you'd think that I was alittle more savvy about girls and bathrooms, but the girls we are dealing with here (as you can see by my siggy) are miniatures and not yet divas. I have about 2 more years before the oldest is old enough for me to buy a shotgun to keep the little dudes away. More than anything, I may just need the comfort station to go for a rest...these girls really sap my energy.

Thanks again,
Joe

When I was younger and my family was between campers we would stay in the cabins. Me, mom and 2 sisters we always in the bathroom. Now dad would always go to the CS to shower and I used to think, "Thats so nice of him." I still do but now I can see that he probably needed a few minutes away from all of us!

Ha ha!

I had the same question but it will be a few yrs before my DH heads to the comfort stations.

I love that a load of laundry and so much else can be done while us girls are showering lol!

I have been in your shoes....only in the camper....we send all the girls to the comfort station. That way two or three can get showered at the same time and we can get to the fun a little quicker.

Yeah, give me a couple of years (okay - maybe 5 or 6 years) and I'll be doing the same thing. And with how clean I hear the comfort stations are, they probably won't mind one bit...being able to all shower at the same time and such. But for now, I'll take one for the team. Keeping fingers crossed for a loop / cabin that is relatively close to a comfort station. My order is as such....

1)2100
2)2200
3)2300
4)2500

Me on the phone with Disney:

"Uh yeah, Disneyworld CM...I'd like to request a loop that puts me close to a comfort station...I'm contending with 5 girls for 1 shower....can you help?"

CM's reply:
"Yes, I see your dilemma sir...uh...let me see...okay...would you accept an upgrade to literally move your cabin onto an open lot next to a comfort station or we could also just build a second bathroom right onto your cabin?....(long pause)....sir...sir...are either of these acceptable?"

I think there is washers and dryers and showers at the at the Cabin area pool.

Maybe some else will know for sure--- but they were there about 3 years ago

That would be great Jeff, but 4 little girls at this age tend to break eardrums with their high pitched screams, etc....not any more than any other young girls and we are aware enough to shush them when needed, but my point....this is often referred to as the quiet pool. Need I say more...well...except for the fact that I (once again) understand that there is matter of conducting yourself and your family in a manner that is not too disruptive to the vacations of others.

One of the things so attractive about the Ft Wilderness Campground is the Comfort Stations, and how clean and convenient they are. We camp with a 5'er, but I wouldnt have any problem with cabin users going to them as well.
