We stayed for four nights in this hotel in Kissimmee (Olde Town area).

The property and rooms still seem very new and are in excellent condition.

The rooms are like a small suite, and can include two queen size beds, a sofa, desk and a kitchenette (equipped with bar fridge and microwave).

The beds were nice and comfy and we had a great view of the Olde Town carnival area (which looked great at night). Rooms all have a safe.

The outdoor pool was nicely heated and was great for relazing. There was also a hot tub and pool bar. Food at the pool bar was great!

A "deluxe" continental breakfast was very good. The selections varied from day to day, with everything from Mickey waffles, to biscuits, english muffins and eggs, as well as sausages.

Rates are over $100 per night... UNLESS you use the Orlando Magicard for a rate which is a remarkable discount (we paid $89/night + taxes, fees).

Thanks for the review. I always recommend this place, but it has been a couple of years since my mom and sister stayed here. It is good to know it is still a great deal.

We are bringing the kids for the first time 4/20-4/27 and staying at the maingate east comfort inn. Should we drive or take the shuttle to the disney parks?

I would recommend driving. It just gives you the freedom to come and go as you please.

If I remember correctly the shuttle runs on a very limited schedule - we used it once (a few years ago) and I remember we were tired from walking and had to wait quite some time for the shuttle to arrive to pick us up. We found that renting a car does give you much more freedom to come and go as you please and have done that on all our subsequent trips.

I am staying at the other Comfort Inn, Maingate West...I think it is on Irlo Bronson. I got a suite there for only 75.00, and it is close to our timeshare at Grand Beach, where we will be going to the next day. Has anyone stayed there? I have read great reviews on it on Tripadvisor.

in 2002. I stayed 7 nights and it was fine. For the right price I would stay again for one night. I am looking for a one night stay somewhere in June before I head to Vero, but the price for this hotel is more than I want to pay. It is within walking distance to a small shopping area with Grocery store and several restaurants. There was also an ice cream store (forget which one). Pool was clean. Room was clean. From pictures it looks like its been remodeled since I stayed there.
