Hi We stayed there last August and loved it. I agree about the slow elevators and you have to be quick getting on and off. Dd (9) helped ds (3) get out and the doors closed on her and she went alone up to the 5th floor. We were panicked, w/ lots of people milling around and it really scared her too. She was fine but just a tip about get everyone off at the same time or keep an adult in the door to get kids out first.
Breakfast was really good, we stayed there 9 nights so kids got kind of tired of same choices day after day and no bacon, sausage, eggs or other protein on the menu (we don't like lots of carbs). Otherwise great for starting out. And you can't get a better price than FREE

VERY BUSY down there for breakfast, need to have someone grab a table and hold it while others get breakfast.
We drove down so we had our own car, I did hear a few complaints about the shuttle to disney r/t only a couple of pickup times in the am and only a couple returns in the evening as well. We didn't try it so are not sure ourselves. Did however see while we were leaving AK one day that a number of people were standing out in one of the outer pk lots. They were waiting for their shuttle to pick them up and it said 108 degrees on our car temp/direction gauge. Kids didn't seem to be doing too good sitting out in a paved pk lot waiting.
I agree if you can rent a car, the hotel is tucked in behind red lobster etc off 192 so it is quiet, BUT if you want to go to restaurants they are mostly across the 6 lane highway. Much easier to drive to get across, I did see others crossing but traffic is busy and it would make me nervous to try and cross w/three kids.
Overall we were very pleased w/it and plan to stay there again this July when we go back. It is so quick and convenient to Disney and I4, there are a number of shops w/in close proximity for necessities I believe 3 wal marts w/in 10m of 192. This will be our 4th trip down w/kids and can't wait to get there. Hope this helps, have a great trip!!!!!
