Comfort Inn LBV vs Comfort Suites Maingate

We need two nights offsite using our reward points and are considering either Comfort Inn LBV or Comfort Suites Maingate.

Any suggestions on which is best? How is the continental breakfast, location, cleanliness?

we have stayed at a comfort inn on palm parkway... is this the address for the Lake Buena Vista site? If so I can give you some info but it may be a little outdated since it is almost 3 yrs since we stayed there. I also have pix's

these photos are from 2002, so things may and probably have changed. We stayed there a few times. Back then I think we paid about $29 - $39 a night. There was a free continental brkfst and you could upgrade to the full buffet for a few bucks more. The lounge was nice (hubby thins lounge may have been at another CI). The little "mart" was fine, even had my favorite Ben & Jerry's Ice cream and a favorite candy bar from England "crunchie"). The resturant wasn't bad. Well worth the prices. I recently checked the prices, like two days ago, and the cost would be $70 a night or so. Compared to staying at a Disney value for about $80 a night, disney wins. I do think that included a fridge, coffee maker, a microwave and in room safe. We loved the location, we would use the Disney Marketplace entrance (we would rent a car, but transportation was offered). It was just off a main road - 192 I think. There was easy access to I4, you can see the sign from one of the photos for the CI. There was also a grocery and shaoping area nearby, what I would consider walking distance. It was clean,but the post after this mentions an issue with that more recently. If you have any specific questions I'll do my best to answer.

after seeing these pix's and visiting the site... I do miss it.... we stay when free dining is available though...

Just to clarify - Comfort Suites Maingate and Comfort Suites Maingate East are two different hotels. Maingate is at 7888 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy, near Marker 4 and Maingate East is at 2775 Florida Plaza Blvd, adjacent to Old Town, near Marker 9.

Stayed at Palm Parkway last August. The rooms were a little dated but clean. Our main complaint was that the staff were soooooooo miserable, after moving on-site we decided that it was obviously because Disney had taken all the best people

I did complain and got an email back saying that they were aware of the situation and they were working to correct it - whatever that means

Based on our experience, I would not stay there again.

We stayed at Comfort inn LBV in 1999 and never again. Our first room had mold in it. It really needs to be updated and cleaned up. That was 7 years ago, so they may have cleaned it up since then.

The Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista did not have availablity for our dates. We decided on the Comfort Suites Maingate. Thanks for your replies and photos.
