Has anyone stayed there? Found a rate of $29.00 a night, just wondering if it was a decent place to stay.

I have not stayed there but would love to know where you found that rate and for what dates?

I need a room for 11/1 and 11/2- 2 days too late!

I also needed one for 10/24, so I grabbed one.

Thanks for the tip. Even the suites look like a good deal- wish I could get one for my other 2 days.

If you stay there, let me know how it is

If we stay there I will let you know. Did you book through travelzoo? Never done it before. Do you pay for the total stay when you reserve?
Please let me know.

We stayed there once on a $19 rate. Rude staff and dirty, dated rooms. You get what you pay for. However, the location is excellent - close to Downtown Disney.

:bounce:

I just booked last night and got it for 29.00 a night. So excited, leaving for WDW next week.

when you get back so I know if I should cancel my room or not!

Have a great time!

We stayed there last year. It was clean, and a great location. So, if you are like us and never in the room, I think it will be fine!

BUUUUTTTTTT....it has been coming up on Priceline for $19 a night! I'm getting ready to bid on it myself! (Priceline is the best, I just got the Grosvenor at the entrance to DD for $35 night-actually only $25, because Priceline sent me "bonus money"! :) ) I am a VERY happy girl! This is for the Thanksgiving weekend!

Good luck on whatever you decide!

for the tip about Priceline- I like $19 better than 29!

Hope you get your $19 dollar rate. I'm sticking with my $29 rate. I will post when we get back.

I have stayed there. The front desk staff WAS NOT trained by Disney LOL! Don't expect cheerful assistance. (Actually they acted like they were doing me a HUGE favor by taking my money!)

My room was fine, but very basic. I would ask for a room NOT facing the pool. The pool is right on the interstate which means your room faces the interstate which can be noisy. Face the parking lot!

I would consider it again for the right price, but would never pay $50 or so for this. This is a max $30 hotel in my mind.

I understand the rooms now have micorwaves and refrigerators which is a new touch.

Yes, I would never pay $50 either! Our rooms did have the refrig/micro in April '02...

i stayed there last year. it was nice and clean no problems. i called and they want 49 per night plus safe fee of 250 per night.

Thanks everyone for the hotel info. I have one other question. How far is this place from Downtown Disney?

There's no way it is more than 1 mile from DD! It is in a nice location, and we loved the gated security area. If you find a good deal on it, go for it! :)

Hi all, we've stayed here 3 times & I would basically describe it as cheap & cheerful! The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but then you are in the centre of the Crossroads & Dennys etc are walking distance. We found the dinner buffets were good with a fair choice-the elevators had each days menu posted.
We had a Kids suite last time & our son loved the fact he had his own space!
At $19-$29 I think you've got a bargain.:jester:

I just stayed there 7/24-27th. I got it for $20 on Priceline (also got it for $19 thru Priceline for Labor Day Weekend). Check in went very easy. I requested a room facing the parking lot, not the pool. I was granted my request. My room was very clean. I had the fridge, microwave & coffee pot. We had no problems what so ever there. It is your average 2* hotel, there are no frills, towels are thin, no body lotion etc....there is soap & shampoo though. The outside of the bldgs could use some sprucing up & painting. You can't beat the location for a price of under $30. There is a free continnential breakfast. You can also purchase the hot buffet bar for $5.95 & up to 2 kids eat free....So for $6.00 you can feed you & 2 children!! I didn't have that breakfast but friends of mine did. They were satisfied with it (I am cheap...I stuck with the free one LOL). I didn't have any other meals there, not with what is all around & within walking distance to this hotel! I can see how there are different reviews on this hotel. My friends room was clean, but had a strange odor to it. They thought it was cig smoke, I thought it was mildew or pet. My room smelled fresh. I hope my Labor Day Stay is just as good as this past one was.:) We didn't use the pool so I cannot comment on that. Parking wasn't too bad at night.....much better than at the Sheraton Safari (which is where I was from 7/20-24th).
