Comfort Inn-Canada Ave, Orlando ?

We are thinking of booking the Comfort Inn and Suites at 7495 Canada Avenue (Orlando) for our upcoming trip to Universal / IOA. The online photos and review sound nice. have you stayed there? It says it is 2 miles from the park and hasas free shuttle and mico/fridge in the room.

I have looked at several hotels in my attempt to pick THE PERFECT ONE!

I even looked at booking a condo with a 1 BR or a 2 BR suite. But, when I looked closer at those, I realized it might not be right for me. All the review from Trip Advisor that were linked to the Universal site were VERY positive. But, then I looked at the reviews on Trip Advisor that were not linked to the Universal site, and they were SCARY....lsot reservations, dirty rooms and high pressure / time share sales pitch...NO THANK YOU! I also discovered that even though some of the hotels offered a "free shuttle" some of them only ran at 9 am and 6:30 pm...

I actually called this particular Comfort Inn...if anyone is looking for a good hotel to book this info might be helpful. They say the shuttle starts very early to accommodate the early admission. And, cab fare is about $7 each way if you need to do that instead. I actually called the hotel twice to ask a few ?s and they were extremely nice and helpful. I am getting good vibe!

Also, the HOLIDAY INN & SUITES ACROSS FROM UNIVERSAL ORLANDO, (5905 Kirkman Road) looked great too. I called to ask about their shuttle service and they said you can actually just walk with no problems to the park from their the...but they dont have free breakfast which my friend really wanted so we didnt book there...


Maybe I will start a new thread about "where did you stay" and what were the best things about it??? For example, was it walking distance to the park? Was the shuttle running all day or just a few times? Did they have free breakfast? Is it a place you'd stay again, etc...

i tried to link the website but failed for some reason.
drury inn is 2 miles from the parks.
they do have a free bus shuttle but don't know the times it starts in the morning.

if you have AAA/CAA, you can get a discount.
