Has anyone stayed at the Comfort Inn at Lake Buena Vista? We're only staying there one night before we head to Orange Lake. I got a great price at $85.00 for 2 rooms thru Travelzoo. Just wondering how it is. Thanx.

I'll be here for my 6th stay in 3 weeks - for $32/night I couldn't pass it up.

Anyway, for the price it's not bad. I've always found my room to be clean, although the hotel itself is old and worn. As long as you understand that, you should be fine. Here's another thread on this subject with some recent stays reviewed:

OMG! Comfort Inn LBV was the hotel we stayed at the first time I went to disney when I was 7 yrs old... 20 years ago!!! I'm 27 and reading this post made me realize it's been 20 years since since my first WDW trip... I've been back 8 or 9 times since:) Sad to hear the place is kinda run down, maybe they will do a referb soon... nice to hear the rates are still low considering, my Dad got $27 a night back then...

It's Ok for a night. However, if you wnat something close to Orage Lake, look for the Best western Lakeside. It's right down the street from Orange Lake and gets better reviews. It comes up a lot on Hotwire and Priceline a lot for cpretty cheap. Chekc betterbidding.com and bidding fortravel.com to see what people are getting it for.

We stayed there in June of 2007. We loved it! The hot breakfast buffet was great. We got a room for $65/night with free breakfast. Couldnt beat it! I-4 can be a bit noisey. But with the AC/heater on you really cant hear it. If you think it would bother you though, I would request a parking lot room. There are restaurants withing walking distance and the rooms were always clean. We enjoyed our stay there, and if it wasnt for the love of Disney and their transportatino we would stay there again.

I stayed there for 3 weeks in 2006 and it was fine. HOwever, friends who have been since have told me of their experiences and it seems like it has gone downhill in the last couple of years. It is a budget hotel and in all honesty, I would not hesitate to stay there again for a short time but not for 3 weeks again.

Just came up for 33 a night...may be cheaper than you got it? Check out travelzoo, maybe you can save a buck or two for a mickey ice cream!

I too was looking at staying here but reports have stated that it's gone downhill over the past year!

I'll be staying here in 2.5 weeks and will give a review when I get back. But I did book a night in Sept. at the $33 rate and if I find the reviews are correct, then I'll cancel it when I get back.

I stayed there last month for a week and had absolutely NO troubles at all. The free breakfast was fine. Room was extremely clean and so was the pool. It was shut down one day while we were there for routine maintence but that was fine with me because we were too busy to use it. The staff was really nice too.

I'll look forward to it! I was inches away from booking this the other week until I noticed a spate of negative reviews, but im sure it'll be fine!

Cool! Sounds fine with me. Was the breakfast basically cornflakes, muffins etc? Nothing hot?
