Hi! I was wondering about the comedy club at DTD. Is it good? Any details about it? How much, book in advance, etc.?

My mil decided to come with us on our trip, so we'll have a babysitter and may go out by ourselves one night! Any other fun things for a couple to do? We don't drink much and aren't into clubbing if that helps...lol

My DH and I are not big into the club scene either, but throughly enjoyed ourselves at PI. The comedy club was great. They do alot of improv and each show is different. My fav was the Adventurer's Club. It is like a mini dinner theatre. They have a cast of characters that are tooo much. Including a old soldier hanging out over the bar. There are different rooms in the building and they invite you to different events in the different rooms during the nite. If you enter and there isn't much happening just take a seat on the lower level and have a drink while you wait. You will never know what or when something else will happen. You are in the play from the minute you enter till you leave. It is so great. We are usually not into those things but had a blast.

It is definately worth the time to go. We are going to Florida in May and plan on making a trip to PI.

OH yeah. You don't have to book in advance you just go over to PI and check out the various clubs. Most clubs are open and you just wander in and out. We tried all of them I think. Like the atmosphere of the Jazz club, very mellow.

All the clubs are free and open to all that enter PI. If you have UPH then you just put your room key in the turnstiles like you would at the parks. PI also can be one of the "Plus" options, if you have the 4,5 or 6 day Plus tickets. If not you need to purchase a ticket to PI for the nite. I am not sure how much they cost. They have a live band playing in the middle of PI and Fireworks at 11pm. They celebrate "New Years Eve" every nite.

To get into the comedy club, If I remember right they start a line(que) about 15 minutes before the show starts and when they let you in they will tell you where to sit. No bad seat in the house.

I think there is 2 good restuarant and a lot of different places to grab a bite. The hot dogs there are the best! My fav place in WDW to get dogs. There are shops and carnival type things. A variety of things to do.

Have fun!

Thanks! Sounds Great! My dh and I are planning on taking one night during the week we are there to just go out and have a little fun. Any nights in peticular better than others? I read on another website that Thursday's are bad because the staff of WDW gets in free that day? We will be there from a Thurs to Thurs.

The Comedy Club at PI is awesome. As you enter, just be aware of the seats next to the phones. Our group went in and I got the seat next to the phone, and thought nothing of it. As the show started, it rang and I had a spotlight on me. I was now part of the show. To make a long story short, I was asked all kinds of questions and the cast did a whole routine based on the information they got from me. Our group still laughs when we talk about that night.

The comedy club at City Walk is better - real stand up shows on Thur, Fri. and Sat. nights (it's located at City Jazz and operates under the name of Bonkerz Comedy Club on those nights). City Jazz is a beautiful place - they also have a live band after the stand up show and dancing.

As you said, it is a good show. The Adventurer's Club is fun too.
