Comeback Rates??

Are they still giving good deals as comeback rates at the resorts? We will be at the Poly in a week and since we are already planning our summer trip and know the dates, I thought I would go ahead and book the room while I was down there if they give me a good rate. As the time gets closer I will switch to an AP rate, unless comeback is better, but this will save on the deposit at least and I will already have the room reserved. Also, who do I call while down there?

During Jan 2003 through a believe the middle of March 2003 some people got promotional door hangers that offered about 40% off of rack rate if you booked a return trip to WDW from your room during your current trip. We booked the YC for our Sept 2003 trip but we ended up at the Dolphin because they offered a $99 a night plus tax deal that the YC could not come close to. The best price at the YC was $169 plus tax for a standard view.

They are special discounted rates offered to select resort guests during their stay. You had to book the special rates while you were on your trip. I haven't heard of it being offered recently though.

They had none during our Sept trip. I would have booked if they had.

I would call CRO while I was there and at least ask. All they can do is tell you "nope"

In a December 2002 Poly stay we received a door hanger Come Back rate of 25% off. We decided not to use it since we have AP's, and know we can usually get 40% off rack using AP discounts. They must have realized noone was taking them up on the 25%, so upped the discount, LOL. If it had been 40% we would have used it.
We were just at the Poly concierge the first week of December 2003, and when we checked out I asked the concierge desk if they were offering any Come back rates, doorhangers, etc. She said that was a limited offer, and she hadn't seen them in some time. Drats, because we would have used it! She suggested I call and check for AP rates.
