Mail here has been running a little funky the last week. I am hoping this cold spell is the only reason its slowing them down
My mail lady told me that they are in need of alot of new carriers so each carrier is running 2 to 3 routes a day.

I sent a box 13 days ago for a trade that went priority mail... was supposed to get there in like.. 3 days... and still hasn't arrived. I'm really upset about that!

Recently I got a trade from a wonderful diser and it took a few weeks to get to me... a large envelope...

I'm an idiot and didn't get the tracking or insurance so I have no idea how to find out what happened I feel awful as this DISer has been great to me....

I traded with the diser a couple times after I traded the pin and we each got our other items in a timely fashion. I just decided that the pin went to disney first before it went to its new home. Girls ive had the same luck with the post office lately. Ive noticed my mail carrier has been out a lot so this other guy has been his substitute picking up the slack. Maybe they are upset about wages or something? I notice when the substitute comes I dont get any of my packages only the mail that goes in the mailbox. Its taken things a long time to get here lately-- which isnt bad-- but I hope things arent like that on the other end-- I dont want DISers thinking ive stiffed them! haha. Luckily everyone who trades on this board is very understanding and by this point I trust most everyone with the trades! The mail typically comes-- sometimes just much much longer than others!

Our mail has been slowwwwww since Katrina, but has gotten even slower now. They've added a ton more carriers and they haven't gotten past the learning curve yet. I had a padded envelope go out the Friday before Mardi gras and it took forever- because the Monday and Tuesday (Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras) are holidays here and no one was working!

I am starting this weekend to do SPRING CLEANING...lord knows what I am going to find. But I am saving up to buy my Disney Dive Buddies print from Wyland.

Anyone have a need to Ty Beanie Babies or Pooh Beanies?? I have LOADS of both that I would love to trade if anyone has an interest.

shach If you find you can't trade the beanies and have some left you just want to get rid of, I know of a rescue group that does a carnival booth to raise money for their shelter (animal)... and the prizes are beanies. They've been trying to collect as many as possible.
