Here is as good a thread as any to wish all the Disers on the Aussie and NZ boards a very happy and safe Christmas, and enjoy spending time with loved ones or friends, or as a single friend of mine much prefers, a nice quiet day to herself curled up with her cat and her favourite book. Also wishing you all a wonderful 2016 full of special moments that make for great memories, and lots of travel near home or afar, and Disney magic!

Happy NYE to you all too! Zanzibar, you were right - airports are quite peaceful when you are not towing a crowd along with you. It was quite nice just wandering around on my own.

I'm back from my whirlwind UK trip. Wedding was beautiful, countryside scenic and company brilliant, so all in all a very successful trip. And most importantly, now I can say "I'm going to Disney this year!" :-D

Still around and still watching holiday videos from our Disneyland trip last year. Currently saving hard for a WDW trip for christmas 2016.
Seems a lot more planning is needed for a WDW trip. Still trying to find the best route from Melbourne to orlando and wishing for the aussie dollar to climb a little.

I have to admit all the planning required has put me off a WDW trip so far. One day I will have to bite the bullet though! With you on wishing for the AUD to improve!

Well.....my O/S holiday plans are also still non-existent for 2016. I'm still looking at either Spain or somewhere else in June. It just depends on airfares. Plus the dollar doesn't help!

Since posting a few days ago we have decided on back to Disneyland and soak up more of SoCal for a month this christmas.
WDW will still be on the cards one day but probably when my daughter is a little older.
We like being able to fly direct to L.A from melbourne and getting to Orlando is a bit of a slog.
So planning for Disneyland again.

Jealous! I have yet to see Christmas time at a Disney park.

I haven't made the jump to WDW yet either. It's not the flight that's stopping me, but the planning and organisation required. I love how at DLR you can still just book a TS meal the day before, and decide which rides you feel like riding at the time!

Coming out of lurkdom to say that I've booked accommodation for my September Disneyland trip! Woop Woop! I really don't know how I feel about the Rivers of America closure but I guess we'll just wait for some photo's to come out to see what we're in for. Also mildly unexcited a the thought of the insane heat but SUPER excited for HALLOWEEN! I can't wait to see the parks dressed up for the first time!!!
