I love how you can see the carousel behind the castle gates spinning. It adds a great touch!
Once inside the castle my batteries died so I grabbed one from ~M~ that was almost dead and prayed I'd make it through breakfast with these batteries.
We checked in and were given our "castle card"
and within 3-5 minutes our name was called and we went to wait our turn to have our photo taken with Cinderella
. The line moved pretty slow but Cinderella took her time and it showed with Kayla..she was in AWE! but before you know it we were headed upstairs and seated.
Our server was wonderful. I love how they call you Madame and play the part--treating you like royalty. Our food was "ok" but the service and experience was great. We got to see Jasmine, Aurora, Belle and Snow White.
I know they do the ceremony where you wave the wands and make a wish but we left before that. We had rides to get to and the boys were calling saying they were at the opening Ceremony and TC was asking where to go first--Tomorrowland of course!!!!
When we got to the castle rope drop Fairy Godmother was there and she chose a family to go into the park with her and ride anything they wanted first. There were CM's blowing bubbles and waving and we were so excited to finally be at the MK. I usually go here my first full day but that didn't work into our plans.
Just before our rope dropped TC called to say they they were heading right for Buzz when it dropped...I told him he better wait....We'd be right there. We finally made it over to them and walked on Buzz and the kids had a blast!
Fron there we hitSpace Mtn Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, Mickey's Philharmagic, Dumbo, and the rain was starting to really come down. We headed towards toontown to do the houses but only did Minnie's because then we went in to meet the characters and Kayla decided to have a meltdown so TC picked her up and let her cry on his head. LOL
At this point Melissa needed batteries so she bit the bullet and paid $16 for a pack of Lithium that lasted her the rest of the week. I had the kids try and remove the sword from the stone
I pretty much stopped taking pics at this point because it was down pouring at times ...............
Since we were already wet we headed over to Splash and we all got to ride. We were worried Kayla would freak from the drop--but she LOVED it!!! SO much so that after that we went to Big Thunder with her and She kept saying "Is it going to go faster???" . I love it---she is SUCH a daredevil at only 3!
There was pretty much NO waits anywhere so we did PoTC and Haunted Mansion. and it was nearing 11 (which to us means lunch). Since Cosmic Ray's has such a huge selection we headed there and got Burgers and wraps. We ate outside on the deck overlooking the castle and just relaxed before heading back to the hotel.
We made it back to CSR for naps and some rainy day swimming.
