Come on, you know you have one....

I hate it when I see people with loose hair on their clothes! I will usually just walk up behind them and take it off. I mean I don't like it when I have hair that has fallen out and it just lying on my shirt, so I try to help others out too!

Just one thing about driving with the turn signal on, though I know this isn't the case with everyone. There are times when I need to get into the next lane, but there are a lot of people in the lane, and no room for me to get in. At times I will leave my signal on hoping someone will see it and slow down a bit to let me in. My pet peeve is when you get trapped in a lane that ends, and no one will slow down to let you in and you end up stopped on the road for several minutes, because no one is considerate enough to slow down and help you out.

I agree with two of the pet peeves already mentioned: the turn signal left on and the overuse of LOL in a post.

The one not mentioned here yet that drives me crazy is the one where there are signs in at least 3 different places "No right turn on red" and they either turn anyway (some without even stopping) or they blow their horn at you because you're not turning. I don't know why it bugs me so much. It's not that they don't see it. There was one young guy who started turning on red and spotted a cruiser in the other lane and stopped dead so you KNOW he knew he wasn't suppose to do it....I guess it's just the blantant disregard of traffic laws that get to me.

For those people that hate people that leave their blinkers on - how do you know they aren't just going around the world to the left? (or right)?? ;) ;) ;) :teeth:

I get SO freakin' mad at people smoking in cars and they flick their ashes and butts out the window (cigarette butts that is ;) ) Hello.. that little box thing in the dashboard? That's an ashtray!

People that crackle their gum. Not just one bubble popping but somehow they are able to continuously crack it.

When you hold the door open for the next person behind you to take it and instead they just walk through without as much as a peep like you are a doorman or something.

People who pull out in front of you in traffic and then go 10 miles an hour - especially when you look behind you and there is NOBODY THERE!

People who can't stop talking on their cell phones for 30 seconds when they are at the cash register. They just act like you don't even exist.

Scraping the tines of a fork across a plate - ack that noise gets to me.

People who overuse corporate buzz words

People who make smacking noises with their mouths when they are eating things like a popsicle or lollipop.

People who pull up to a toll booth and THEN start digging through their pockets for change. Hello! You know where you are going when you get in the car! Get your change out before you leave and put it in the console or something!!

People who let their children run wild through stores, messing with product, throwing things, screaming, and think it's CUTE. News flash - your 4 yr old kicking me is not cute!!! If your 2 yr old is throwing a temper tantrum and hitting sounds unknown to man - take them out of the store - the rest of us are getting headaches and heading to the aspirin aisle!!

I could go on... an on..

When a patient's visitor gets into the other bed in the room. Hello-it's not there for you! I usually say "Well, it's a good thing that someone wasn't in your wife's/sister's/mother's bed when she got here, huh? I don't usually get a response.

I hate it when someone leaves the shower curtain open.

Okay,

Maybe it's just because I hate to share a bathroom with anyone, but the shower curtain bugs me too!

That's 3 pet peeves of mine all having to do with people in the bathroom before me!

Man I'm spoiled!

A couple of mine are:

People chewing on ice, it drives me crazy.
Cracking gum
When some one licks their fingers while counting money (my change) than hands it to me. I also collect rent in a housing office so they do it when giving me the rent money, too. I hate it.

My pet peeve is people in traffic behind you that get annoyed when you dont close that 2 car gap in front of you, like its going to get you where your going 2/10 of second faster if I close up that gap! Hello I leave that gap there for a reason, so if the person in front of me stops short I don't eat their bumper! I can't tell you the number of times I have people trying to get around me in the break down lane while all the traffic on the road in all the lanes is only doing 40 mph, but this idiot behind me needs to get around because there is space in front of me! Believe me I'm not a 50 mph guy in the high speed lane I dont have that radar detector on my dashboard because it looks cool:smooth: .

The way the toilet paper is put on. Not sure why, but I sometimes have to change it.

I also like to have the newspaper neat before reading it. I don't like it when people read it and it is messy then I read it.

Me too ladies! Lauri- I always make a point to loudly say YEAH You're freakin welcome!"

mommytotwo- I always change it (unless I am at someone elses home)..... and that's why I stopped reading the news paper but MIL always read sections and leaves them turned inside out and I also think it would be wasteful to buy another.

Do I need therapy?

<font color=navy>I share some of yours, but then I cause some of yours, too. (Don't hate me! :p )

Mine would be

* Whenever someone throws any trash out their cars - cigarette butts, etc - it really drives me crazy - fingers biting into the steering wheel crazy.

* When people use I instead of me. It's between you and me, not you and I. He met with you and me, not you and I, etc., etc. -- Even the managers at my work say it incorrectly - it's the compress your lips so you don't say anything kind of crazy that I feel.

* When people complain about their jobs, and they are paid well for what they do - drives me nuts

* Irregardless instead of regardless

* People chewing with their mouth open, smacking their lips, or chewing loudly ... I have to walk away when I can

Mine is currently the latest trend in speech mutilation:

"You can come with."
"Take that along with."

Come with WHO..? ..WHAT?? AGGGHHHH....finish the sentence already!!! :hyper:

At times I will leave my signal on hoping someone will see it and slow down a bit to let me in.

Don't you know that putting your blinker on to change lanes is the universal signal to hurry up and get as close to the car in front as possible? :D

I hate when people take a drink of something and then give a big "AHHH". It's gross. They do this all the time in commercials.

Another one I have is "close talkers" (for all you Seinfeld fans). I like a little personal space in social situations.

My van has an alarm that prevents you from being a "blinking idiot".

If you leave your blinker on for too long it starts to "ding" at you. The first time it happened I thought it was an alarm telling me there was about to be something catastrophic about to happen to the car. It freaked me out!

Its happened now 2 or 3 times so I guess you can turn it on and forget about it!

People who pick lint or whatever off of other people's clothes. I had a co worker who went up to just about everyone and pointed out the tiniest specks of lint, dust, hair, dandruff, etc. One of the male teachers had a slight dandruff problem and this woman was constantly brushing off the shoulders of his shirt or jacket. She drove me up the wall. If you have anything out of place on your clothing, this woman will find it. Don't get me started about her and the chalk! I don't know how may times she decided to brush off the back of my skirt!:D

Using "myself" instead of me ... can't tell you how many emails and memos I've seen at work that end w/ something like
"any questions please contact John or myself" it's John or me !!!
What's worse is I've seen it used w/ no other names involved
"any questions please contact myself" Arggh !

Oh, that makes me nuts also.....bad phone manners are a HUGE source of irritation to me!!!!

I never knew how many things annoyed me until I found myself nodding my head in total agreement with all these posts.

Apparently I have finally evolved into " that crotchety old woman " down the block.

OK OK...I have a really dumb one...but it still drives me insane. I freak out on eyebrows!!! I just can't help but to notice those big bushy ones. Makes me want to grab some tweezers and have at it!
