Come On Disney Give Us Some Magic-Jan-Feb

No! Don't tell me it's only a free ticket upgrade for Jan and no room discounts!!!

Please tell me Disney has offered room discounts in Jan!!!! :confused3 I might cancel our plans if it's only a ticket upgrade. I don't give a hoot about ticket upgrades! I only care about the room or FREE dining!! :thumbsup2

Don't worry, the ticket upgrades were coupled with a room discount. I believe it was 15% for moderates, I don't know about the other levels.

Yeah, sign me up for free dining! Got my fingers crossed over here. I know it hasn't been offered historically at this time of year, but who knows with all the economic trouble lately...?

Hey Cupcake! Our trip is planned for the same time as yours!:cheer2:

Here's a little pixie dust for all us Jan/Feb Dissers!:wizard:

But didn't they just offer free dinning for other dates they haven't in the past? There's no harm in hoping & keeping fingers crossed!pixiedust:

I agree Disney is one of the few businesses that is not effected by the poor economy

I think I disagree. We were just there 2 weeks ago and in all of my 20 something trips have never seen the parks so empty. Now they are offering free dining for Oct, Nov and Dec. Gotta be a reason- SLOW!!!!!

well, thanks for that info. I feel better! :goodvibes

It looks like AAA lists peak season as starting on 2/14. Is there anything "special" going on at that time? We're starting to plan a trip starting 2/21.

If those dates are peak season, I may be out of luck with any free dining offer. :(

I am on the fence about a Jan trip. If we go it will be 1/24 through 2/2. A great discount would seal the deal. I hope something good comes through for all of you who posted on this thread.:flower3:

Yep. ALL tour companies are slashing their vacation prices for late September - December, 2008 travel. The most drastic discounts are actually to the Carribbean.

Reason you ask? Lots and lots and lots of people cancelled their planned summer vacations due to the numerous hurricanes/tropical storms this season. The travel industry is largely slashing prices in hopes of obtaining more clientele for October - December travel to make up for the loss of summer cancellations. :)

This all equals GOOD news for Jan-Mar 09 travelers!!

Ok, lets all hope that alot of people won't be traveling for Jan/Feb then too. It would be nice to see the parks on the "empty" side.:woohoo:
