Come on already, Universal! Still no Mardi Gras liine up.

Pat was here a few years ago for Mardi Gras and was outstanding as always. I've seen her several times since moving here.

Pitbull does nothing for me.

I was underwhelmed by Pat Benetar's last show (may have been the Summer concert series? I can't remember). It wasn't Counting Crows bad or anything, but I kind of hoped for more from such a talented woman.

On the flip side, I caught the final 15 minutes of Pitbull's show after I was kicked out of Finns but couldn't make it out through the crowd. Not really a fan of his music, but was impressed by his obvious showmanship. Even if you're not a fan, I think his show could be entertaining.

Still find it ironic that DHS has the American Idol show, but the AI winners always seem to end up at Universal.

Yeah Matchbox 20 has been up for like a month and a half or something,but Mardi Gras starts next month and there's still 13 acts left to be announced,people can't plan their visits like this.I don't need them up 6 months ahead of time like Eat to the Beat at Disney but by early December sounds reasonable for this event.

Wait. Matchbox 20 is playing at Universal?

Yep,March 16th right after the parade.They've had tons of good groups play over the years.My only problem with the concerts at Universal are that to get close to the stage you kinda have to be there for a couple hours before it starts totally missing the parade and other Mardi Gras festivities.I'm not even going to tell you how many hours my mom waited to get up near the front for some groups like Chicago.
