Comdirect / Squaregain - Disney Corporate Action

Hi All,

Following the recent announcement regarding Euro Disney pulling delisting from the LSE, can anyone tell me how this affects the shares I hold via Comdirect / Squaregain (New name for Comdirect).

The shares I 'hold' were purchased using the Symbol PEDL.PSE, which I understood to be traded on the Paris Stock Exchange.

If this is the case - do I need to do anyone - are my shares 'safe'?.

Anyone know?.

I've already shipped them a message using their internal message system - don't tend to find they come back that fast, so also posted here to see if anyone else knew.

When I get something back from Squaregain, I'll post it in the thread for your reference.

Squaregain - not really that helpful in this situation. There reply is:

Dear Mr Chapman

Thank you for your message.

We do not know how it will affect your holding until closer to the time. 31/10/05 is when the shares will be delisted and it is likely your shares will be removed on this date if requested to by the Registrars. As soon as we receive more information we will keep you updated.

From the symbol you've quoted it does sound like Comdirect bought them on the Paris exchange - it's different from the one I bought anyway. If that's the case, then the de-listing doesn't affect you.

Well that's my thinking as well - as the shares are based on Paris Stock Exchange symbol, I can't see what they would be affected.

What concerns me is the lack of understanding of where I stand etc over at Squaregain (see my post above).

With the date looming, Just wondering whether anyone having used ComDirect/Squaregain - and having purchased via PEDL.PSE (or was it PELD.PSE) - has had any sensible response from SquareGain?.

I've again, had the 'Corporate Action' secure message from them - and again have requested claification as to how this will affect my holding - given I understand it not be affected.

I purchased the Paris listed ones at the begining of October.

I have also recived that message about the delisting.

I've still not had clarrification either.
Tried sending another message but suspect that since squaregain are not making a lot of money out of me they have a degree of dis-interest

For what its worth I have also sent them a message.

It took 4 attempts to get them to belive me they made a mistake when I purchased, so I don't hold much hope.

But I think I might be OK as my holding is listed on the Paris exchange.

Dear Mr XXXX

Thank you for your enquiry.

As we trade the Paris line of Euro Disney we should have no trouble in trading your current stock. It will not be affected by this corporate action.

Having looked at my Portfolio no pricing is now being shown for my Euro Disney (PELD.PSE) holding.

Having discussed this with SquareGain customer service - I'm still not entirely sure whether my holding is intact or not.

For reference my Portfolio screen now shows "expDIS" for the Symbol.

Would be interested to understand what others are seeing - I guess I'll be going back to their Messaging service to AGAIN seek claification as to whether I still own 1260 shares in EuroDisney SCA (PELD.PSE).

My correspondence states the following:

Type and name of holding 1000 Action(s) Euro Disney SCA - code: FRA0000125874. That's on the registration form.

The letter that accompanied it says "you hold now the Euro Disney shares to which you are entitled in French registered form through the Company's registrar : Credit Agricole Investor Services Corporate Trust."

So mine seems quite straightforward - I think! It's clear as mud to me really.

So does that mean I can't buy any and get my discount? I'm working VERY hard to persuade DH that this is a real bargain - should I be saving my breath, or can I just buy them via France?

Note - The entire thread is based around ComDirect / SquareGain.

Well that's the annoying factor. I'd believe (based on the symbol) that my purchase WAS from the Paris Stock Exchange - the same as Chrismoo and Cyrano. We've all chased Squaregain over the last couple of weeks leading to the delisting trying to obtain claficiation on where we stand - the last information received from Squaregain 'appeared' to suggest all was well.

Now I'm not really sure what the situation is - Part of my would like to find out that Cyrano / Chrismoo are in the same position - purely as it gives me someone to 'work' with in order to rectify the situation

My status is the same the symbol is expDIS

Its very strange, I took weeks of emails when I brought the shares to convince them they were wrong with the price they charged me (they charged for the amount in euros in sterling, eg they were 12 euro cents they charged me 12p.

I have just sent a message to them.

My holding is showing as zero value, although a note is appended saying they are awaiting the valuation so I'm not quite panicing yet
