almost all counter service restaurants serve a combo meal (some serve several versions.) For example, there's a bbq rib & chicken platter at Cosmic Rays in the Magic Kingdom that counts as a combo meal (1 CS on the
DDP) That platter has a serving of BBQ Ribs, a piece of chicken, mashed potatoes & green Beans. You also choose a dessert (from 3 choices) and a beverage. That's a combo (and a lot of food for one counter service.) There's also a burger/fries combo, some sort of nuggets/fries combo at Cosmic Rays. At Columbia Harbor House there is a good tuna sandwich which comes with sides, as well as fried fish with side dishes.
Some of the best places to get non-burger/non-nugget combos are Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom, Flametree BBQ, Pizzafari and Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom, Sunshine Seasons/The Land in Epcot (fabulous food -- Asian station and Grill station are outstanding -- and go all the way down to the left to the Bakery to pick out your fresh -- not prepackaged -- dessert) Also Tangierine Cafe/Morocco/Epcot. In Hollywood Studios, we like the gourmet sandwiches on focaccia bread, chips & fresh bakery desserts at Starring Roll bakery (Pizza Planet is o.k. -- for a combo there you can get personal pizza and a side salad, dessert & beverage.)
Most resort counter service places have many, many combo platters...just ask at the counter what comes with the entree you're interested in. If you click on either my May 2009 or September 2008 reviews below, you will see many pictures of counter service meals...
