Combining Transfer pts with Current UY pts

Hi all,

I currently have a trip booked for this May using my Sep 2020 UY pts. With the 50% borrowing restriction, I am short 100pts to upgrade my room to the room category I actually want and therefore am looking to have someone transfer pts for me.

I was wondering does the transfer pts have to come from someones 2020 UY pts as well or can they have a 2021 UY as long as they are from a Feb-May UY?

They can be 2021 UY points as they would be valid for that trip.

Any banked or borrowed points you have will be used first and then it will take the transferred points along with your 2020 UY points.
