Combining tickets for upgrade?

I know you can apply the value of a ticket to upgrade to an AP, but could you bring two tickets and combine the value to purchase one AP?

When I asked Guest Services, I was told that guests cannot combine the value of two or more tickets for the upgrade. It can't hurt to try asking Guest Services again...

I agree with figment_jii that you may as well ask if you will be there, but since official written policy says no I would not expect it to work. That being said, I feel sure that I have read about another Diser who did succeed with such an upgrade because neither ticket had yet been used for admission. I don't think that was a recent experience though, so policy and practice could obviously have changed since then.

Back in 2003/2004, I had 10 tickets (through work, we had a work party at DLR) that I wanted to combine into four APs.

Disney wouldn't do it then. So I sold the other six for cost (back when it was $35-45 for the ticket but the group rate was $25-35 and Disney didn't do park hoppers) so I sold them to people who were waiting on line to buy tickets. Walked them through the turnstiles to make sure they worked (for their comfort). Probably wasn't a good idea to sell on property, lol but we did the same with magic mountain tickets a few years prior.

I know that this used to be possible because DH and I used to save unused tickets (gifts from family), then turn them all in to upgrade into APs. But this was long ago, and we haven't been able to do this in at least the last 5 years or so. So I would use whichever ticket has the great value and save the other one for a future trip for a family member who won't have an AP.
