I am planning on spending Jan1-8 at a couple of DVC resorts. Is it possible to book one or two of the later nights that fall in the available window? For example, right now I can book as far as Dec 21-Dec 28. Can I just book the nights of Dec 27 and 28 at this point? I want to start booking days as soon as I can. Thanks!

No you can't. You can only book a stay with a check in date of 12/21. Not sure what resort or room type you're looking for, but BWV & VGF were mostly gone for 12/31 and 1/1 a while ago. I imagine it to be the same for BLT and BCV.

When you stay at different resorts (or different booking categories within the same resort) each piece of your trip is a separate reservation. When booking right at the 7-month window, you can book no earlier than 7 months from check-in for that particular reservation. So if you wanted to spend Jan 1-8 at WDW with Jan 1-3 at Resort 1, Jan 3-5 at Resort 2, Jan 5-8 at Resort 3 then you could book the first 2 nights on June 1, the 2 nights at Resort 2 on June 3 and the 3 nights at Resort 3 on June 5.

Got it. That is really helpful. Could I book Jan 1-8 at say kidani and cancel part of that stay if I found something else?

Yes, but you can only drop off nights at the beginning or end. So if you wanted to go else where Jan 3-5, you won't be able to keep Jan 1-2 and Jan 6-8. If you get a really good MS, they may be able to cancel and quickly rebook for you.

Thanks for the clarification!
