One last question. Trying to find a way to work in an eight night trip even though we don't have enough points. If we book most of the trip using points and then try to book the last night or two using cash is there any way to call and link the reservations so we don't have to change rooms? I really need to convince DH we need more points!

Make certain your cash nights are the precise same category room as your points nights to be able to stay in the same room for your entire stay. Ask MS to link the rez's. I'm pretty sure since they will both be in your name, and the points rez is on your membership, that even though 1 rez with be cash and 1 points, they can link the rez's. If they can NOT link because one is cash and one is points, they ARE definitely able to put comments on the rez's stating they are a continuing rez and cross reference them so the the FD will see you have a continuous rez.

Lastly, I would call the resort about a week out to make sure they got the continuous reservations notations. Make sure to have both rez #s ready when you call. The resorts want you to stay in the same room too....less housekeeping and hassle for them as well. :-) You will have to drop by the FD the morning your 2nd rez begins as they will mostly likely need to make you new room keys. Do all that & you should be able to stay in the same room with very little aggravation! Happy planning! :flower:

If you book the cash nights thru MS then they can be linked. If you book thru regular Disney reservations then you can have the other reservation noted on each one but they cannot be fully linked. In both cases you'd want to verify at check in that the resort sees you have a second reservation and see if they have you in the same room.

What about the one time use points? You can get 24. Maybe enough to pay for another night? Borrow some points from next use year?

I am already borrowing. Depending on where we stay the one time points might do it. Thanks.
