Combining Max Pass and rider swap?

We are a family of 5 - DS is 12, DD is 8 and DD2 is 3...We go to DLR every 2 years so this will be our first time navigating with Max Pass (just when I had regular fastpass totally figured out of course!) - planning for Spring Break 2019

Because of the 3yo, we will do rider swap whenever possible. Does it still make sense to pay for Max Pass for the rest of us for each day of our trip? Me, DH and DS ride everything. My 8yo is not a thrill ride aficionado- her favorite rides are Soarin, TSMM, Buzz.

If it's worth it, I won't sweat the extra $, but I don't want to feel like it was something we didn't use at all

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Since regular FP still works just fine, if that is the system that you really know well and feel comfortable with, there is nothing wrong with sticking with it. MP can give you certain benefits, like being able to book FPs for one park while being in the other park and having a shorter window to book a new FP (generally 90 minutes for MP vs. 120 minutes for regular FP, certain other rules/exceptions apply). But it isn't necessarily a deal breaker. For Spring Break (when is your break? if it falls outside peak SB, you might not hit the peak crowds in the parks), MP could be an advantage but you need to do the math and weigh the daily cost over the number of park days to see whether you will feel the money was better spent on MP or whether you feel it could have been better spent elsewhere. We've had families report back that MP was worth every penny and others report back that regular FP was fine because they knew how to make it work for their touring style. The only wrong answer here is to choose one or the other and to waste the resource at your disposal. Since MP can be purchased daily, you can always start without it, see how things go, then purchase it any time afterward if you think you need it. Or try it for your first day, see how things go, then purchase it for again for each of your days or go without it depending on the results of your first day. Even if you decide to stick with regular FP, you might want MP for one parent, just for the PP.
