Combining incentives?

My mom and I want to buy 200 more VGF points at some point this year. She is also strongly considering buying DLT or VGC and I have been sniffing around riviera. We would probably each buy 150-200 points. All points would be held jointly, it’s just a matter of who pays for what. Does Disney ever combine magical incentive pricing if we buy all at the same time? Like, could we get pricing as if we were buying 500-600 points? I know we would sell back current use year points if offered to lower the price point, but I’m wondering if there is any reason to do it all at once. She also wants to sell back our OKW points whenever Disney is buying them again. If there is no benefit to doing it together I may just buy resale riviera and she may hold off on Cali until she can sell the OKW points, but figured I should ask.

It must be all at one resort AFAIK. Otherwise people would try to do 150 points of VGF and then 50 of VDH to try and get incentives for the 200 point mark.

The developer credits are different by resort so they don't combine.

I did however confirm with my guide that you could receive Magical Beginnings across different resorts if your total purchase was 150+ points. IDK about deeding in different names, but he confirmed with Quality Assurance that I could purchase 150 VGF points and 50 DLH points and sell all the first UY back and get a $4,400 rebate check. I would only qualify for the 150 VGF developer credits and 0 DLH developer credits.

That’s what I was afraid of. Too bad though - for Disney they would still be selling more points than they would be otherwise.
The thing is Disney wants people who own a larger amount of points at one resort. If their goal was to simply sell the points as fast as possible they would lower the buy in back to 25 for these new resorts and not set a 100 minimum point purchase for new members.

They did allow this in summer 2020 when they had the exact same incentives at RIV and CCV.

But, since the incentives are different for each resort, you can not mix and match.

Interesting! Good to know it’s been done in the past
